For many years, those of us in the Arctic have been fighting the wood stove ban. The use of PM2.5 particulates has been an issue pursued by local agencies as a way to swipe at those who choose to live beyond the borders of traditional civilization. That attack has now extended to the rest of the United States.
In a stunning move, the Environmental Protection Agency decided to ban most of the operational wood stoves in the U.S.
In those places where there is you, God, and nature, the wood stove has represented that one thing that can sustain. Going after local PM2.5 particulates has been one of many methods to attack those who choose to live independent of government. As Off Grid and American Prepper survival report reveals:
The EPAs new environmental regulations reduce the amount of airborne fine-particle matter from 15 micrograms to 12 micrograms per cubic meter of air.
This means that most wood burning stoves would now fall into a class that would deemed unacceptable under these new draconian measures. The EPA has even launched a nifty new website called Burn Wise to try to sway public opinion.
On their site, while trying to convince people to get rid of their old stoves and buy the new EPA-certified stoves, they state that these older stove must be scrapped and cannot be resold.

It’s about POWER, not about the environment. algore was all about POWER, too. The ‘glo-bull warming’ scare BS was just the means to get there.
There is something wrong with this picture.
Don't bet that you are not eligible for food stamps / EBT card. I did the online application for fun and we could qualify for an EBT. There is no way I will get a card. I have too much honesty to take taxpayer money that I don't need.
We finished paying the mortgage on the house several years ago on my salary alone. My wife quit her job when the daughter was six months old and never went back to work. We also put her through college with no assistance from uncle sugar. Our daughter worked her butt off to apply for various scholarships she found on the net.
We paid for several used cars with cash, and never had a new car in the garage until a few years ago. Unlike some people who get a new car every couple of years and have car payments that never end. We pay off the credit cards every month and never accumulate fees for unpaid balances.
Yes, there is something wrong with this picture. Working hard and paying taxes all your life while other deadbeats get help from uncle sugar via our taxes.
See my tagline.
Congressman will ignore anyone who disagree with them, period.
But fine you go read the 13,000 pages of regulations and prepare for the quiz.
Hmmm...I live right in the middle of boring old suburbia and have a wood stove in my back room. I wonder if our nasty chief of police will descend on me this winter???
LOL! OK, brb!
bttt
good point. a yearly average of stove use would cut the emissions to nearly half... as wood stove’s would not be in use in the summer for as much...
just sayin...
Granted but friends with skills are always helping friends under the table .
