Fresh off his 21-hour filibuster against Obamacare funding, a new poll shows that Sen. Ted Cruz has leapfrogged past his potential rivals for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination and that GOP primary voters trust him more than their party leaders on Capitol Hill.
The Public Policy Polling survey found that 20 percent of those surveyed supported Mr. Cruz, Texas Republican, while 17 percent supposed Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, 14 percent supported New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and 11 percent supported former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.

Ted Cruz this week established himself as the grassroots hero of the Republican party, said Dean Debnam, president of PPP. The party has more faith in him than their more official leaders like Mitch McConnell and John Boehner.
Mr. Cruz has climbed eight percentage points in the poll since July - thanks in large part to strong support from people who identified themselves as very conservative and who support a government shutdown by a 75 percent to 10 percent margin.
The poll also found that Mr. Cruz is more trusted then Mr. McConnell, the Senate minority leader, Mr. Boehner, the speaker of the House, and Sen. John McCain, the partys 2008 presidential nominee. Our numbers also suggest that Cruz is now viewed more broadly as the leader of the Republican Party, the poll analysis said. He now has more credibility with the GOP base than the folks who have been leading the party for years.

The DNC, GOP and Big Media will all be allies in trying to destroy Ted. He is a threat to their rule.
I hope he prevails and runs. I’ll be glad to support him.
Now you'll suddenly see Democrats develop the capability to go over every microscopic detail of a candidate's eligibility information, and argue over the tiniest scintilla of doubtful or ambiguous information.
And when they do so, there won't be the slightest tinge of racism to their actions.
Annnnnd, I pray that His will includes overriding Election Fraud : /
You missed it by this -><- much!...................
I'd bet a lot if I was a bettor that when Sen. Cruz is president he will NEVER put his feet up that beautiful desk as 0bummer does on a regular basis.
Rush Limabaugh pointed out that a lot of the leftist orgs such as NAACP are getting a slush fund from the exchanges. The Senate Republicans just ensured that happens.

> Pray America is Waking Up
Not from what I can see.
More than 50% of the country is made up of either gimmees or moonbats. The moonbat population might be dwindling, but the gimmees are gaining more than the moonbats are losing.
And Jeb.
And Paul Ryan.
And Romney.
As many RINO's as possible all at once.........
THAT should be our plan, to get as many of these to run until the very end of the primaries.
I'm going to be the contrarian in this thread. In prior postings, I've made the case that my preferred ticket for the executive branch is:
An eight-year term with those two Patriots can restore American Exceptionalism and the Greatness we last during President Ronald Reagan's presidency.
So then, what about our fine Texas Senator Ted Cruz? As I see it, his towering intellect, common sense and youthful vigor would make him an ideal Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. As President, he can serve for only two terms. As a young man, he can serve for decade after decade on the highest court in the land. A Supreme Court led by Ted Cruz can reshape America back to what the Founding Fathers intended.
If Senator Cruz is on the ticket for President, he'll get my vote with absolute, unqualified enthusiasm but I think the Lord has destined him for even bigger things. The Supreme Court has been out of control some 70 years and I firmly believe that only this courageous man has the means and the will to restore it.
All patriots. At least they fight for the American people. The loser Rinos betray us and don’t fight even when we are behind them.
Same here. He’s shown he’s legit on principle and communication.
Gets my vote for sure.
I know. Add in there the ones that just can’t be bothered, because they are too busy keeping up with MileyCyrus and the like...
But still, I will pray FRiend, and fight, until they wash over me. We do talk more and more about contingency plans tho’ : /
May God keep watch.

Press Release of Senator Cruz
Cruz: Vote Latest Example of Washington Not Listening to the People

WASHINGTON, DC — U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) released the following statement regarding today’s vote in the Senate to invoke cloture on H.J. Res. 59:
“Today’s vote by Sen. Harry Reid and the Senate Democrats to fully fund Obamacare was yet the latest example of Washington not listening to the people.
“Obamacare is a ‘train wreck,’ a ‘nightmare,’ to use the words of its Democratic author and a union leader who previously supported the bill. It is the biggest job killer in America.
“As Teamsters President James Hoffa explained in a letter to Sen. Harry Reid and Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Obamacare is hurting ‘millions of working men and women ... and the families they support,’ and it ‘will destroy the very health and wellbeing of our members along with millions of other hardworking Americans.’
“Senate Democrats refused to listen.
“President Obama has granted exemptions for big business and Members of Congress, but Senate Democrats refuse to grant the American people the same exemption. Instead, they used political power to maintain their privileged position while doing nothing to respond to the pleas of millions of Americans.
“But this fight continues. Now the bill returns to the House. The House showed remarkable courage voting to defund Obamacare, and I hope and believe that the House will stand by their resolve and continue to lead the effort to stop the Obamacare train wreck.
“Obamacare is killing jobs, forcing people into part-time work, causing health insurance premiums to skyrocket, and threatening the healthcare of millions of Americans.
“Today, far too many Republicans joined Harry Reid in giving the Democrats the ability to fund Obamacare. When the bill comes back to the Senate, when the House yet again stands for principle and fights for the American people, I very much hope that Senate Republicans will rise to the challenge. We are stronger when we are united, and we can defeat Obamacare only if Senate Republicans come together, stand with House Republicans, and champion the millions of Americans being harmed by this disastrous healthcare law.”

A little birdie is telling me that the birthers who insist on hijacking every Cruz thread with this nonsense are going to start falling by the wayside. If FR is not their cup of tea they should start looking for a new home.

Our problem is that guys like Cristie and Bush get any play with “republicans.” My guess is that what passes for a “republican” in the NE states, is someone like Mayor Bloomberg. This will be our problem, GOPe voters who like “free $h!t” and government “help” with their miserable lives.
Lonevoice, Thanks for the link from the bossman.
