Danged if he nailed it again!

“I think it is unfortunate that any member of the United States Senate should want our votes to occur outside of the view of the American people.”

Isn’t that the way the original ACA went??

If Reid can muster the 60 votes it takes to advance the bill, he is expected to re-fund the health care law and easily pass the "clean" bill out of the chamber.

The light is now shining on RINO capitulation to Dingy Harry's tactics.

With the current timetable, the House would probably not get the bill until Friday or Saturday.

That leaves little time for lawmakers to figure out their next move. Majority Republicans could choose to accept the Senate package, in turn keeping the government open past Monday -- they could then focus on a separate bill that would delay the health care law in exchange for raising the debt ceiling, which is the next fight on the horizon.

Or, Republicans could try once again to undermine the health law, bringing D.C. to the brink of a shutdown.

House Speaker John Boehner indicated Thursday that he plans to keep fighting. Asked if he'd accept the Senate bill as is, he said: "I do not see that happening."

Woo hoo! Go, Boehner GO!! Hold the line!! Defund obamacare!!

Cruz later said: "I think it is unfortunate that any member of the United States Senate should want our votes to occur outside of the view of the American people."

Dang!!
Bet Corker needed help walking away after that one.

"This is confusing to me," Corker said. "I'm understanding the reason we're waiting is that y'all have sent out releases and emails and you want everybody to be able to watch. It just doesn't seem to me that that's in our nation's interest."

And I thought Democrats were out of touch. Is this quote in context? If so, it REALLY reflects poorly on Corker.

I said yesterday that it would be great if Corker went after Obama with the same vigor....of course, maybe he does but the media won't cover that news.

Some day the Lord is going to bring total judgment down on Sodom on the Potomac. When He does, even every stone will melt with the heat the Lord will pour out on that cess pool of sin. There are so very, very, very few decent people inside that stinking beltway. When the Lord pulls the plug on Sodom, it is goodbye, so long, farewell, you are out of here and on the way to the Lake of Fire via the Great White Throne Seat of Judgment for the lost.

I'm a little confused in regards to the cloture vote. I will be calling John Cornyn’s office today and would like fully understand the cloture.

A vote “for” cloture ends debate? At this point Harry Reid would only need a simple majority to pass the CR w/Obozocare funding?

Could one of you help me understand this vote?

.
.

- I saw a paid DNC operative on TV two weeks ago bragging about he and other professional leftists are daily lurking on Free Republic to divert, distort, and create and encourage dissent and division among conservatives in a manner reminiscent of Genghis Khan.

- Now I cannot go on one FR thread without seeing comments that the 2012 Republican candidate would be worse than Obama is now.

- Fortunately for me I will not and I cannot be crushed by their pet golfer/peace prize in chief.

- For those who will soon be stomped into the dirt and think they know all the answers while sitting in their armchairs - the enemy publicly admits they are within the walls.....

Lest anyone get distracted by the dog and pony shows, the essence of obamacare is not about healthcare but was pursued by central planners for the purpose of nationalizing the insurance industry. Here the payor drives the health care industry; co-opt it and you capture that industry.

So those downstream in the health care industry are unavoidably enveloped through annexation of the insurance market-- a political backdoor into full control by government affecting every single inhabitant. Critically this is only their entree into further intrusions and trampling of individual liberties which they don't really believe in anyway and seek to annihilate. How very totalitarian.

Of course selling this takeover was and is easier through emotional appeals to the compassionate bestowing of otherwise denied healthcare. Lies! Let's revisit the most common description of this activity (lifted from merriam-webster):

so·cial·ism noun \ˈsō-shə-ˌli-zəm\ : a way of organizing a society in which major industries are owned and controlled by the government rather than by individual people and companies.

Is there any doubt about what is going on here? Lots of talk about how hard it is to shed large government programs once implemented. And why is that? Might it be because the expanding government monster, forcibly gorging on our prosperity, is loathe to relinquish their predominance?

"....you want everybody to be able to watch. It just doesn't seem to me that that's in our nation's interest."

Stunning arrogance.

Next step: "In the nation's interest, we are now closing all visibility to lawmaking. We will let you know what laws are when we are ready to let you know."
