There are two Republican Parties. One is the entrench set who simply fall to the direction that their lobbyists request, pretend to be wannabe conservatives, and do chatty-talks with Sunday morning talk-show hosts. They generally believe that you don’t arrive in DC, and jump-frog over them....that have been there ten to twenty years.
So the second Republican Party is this group that asks stupid questions, expects accountability, has made budget control and taxation the number one task of their political figures, and can out-wit any of the entrenched guys in a debate.
The sad truth is that the entrenched guys have been around, and don’t care to have their authority second-guessed. The idea that half their voting base has suggested for them to move on....hasn’t clicked for them yet. The entrenched crowd is relying on 1980s style election strategy to stay around.
I wholly believe this, especially for my two Georgia Senators, Chambliss and Isakson.
Both of these two RINO traitors tried to spout off early on in 2007 how we had to do something about illegal immigration reform and they were gangbusters to sign onto the Bush/McCain Amnesty Program. They got bitch slapped back into reality by us real quick like. But this episode confirmed something for me. These guys don’t really give a crap about me, or Georgians, really. They care about their power and status and hanging with the ‘cool’ guys up in DC.
They changed their tunes that one time, but I’ve never thought they changed their hearts.
Both of these SOBs will vote for cloture in the upcoming Obamacare/CR bill which will allow that bill to proceed with just a plurality vote, after Harry Reid conveniently allows just ONE amendment - to strip out Obamacare defunding.
They’ll then send out their emails and letters “We tried - we voted for the bill...blah blah blah...” “We’re really conservatives...” Just like they’ve done with nearly every other parliamentary trick votes in the past.
I sent both an email that we here are wise to their tricks and that anything other than a NO vote on cloture is treason against us.
I know Chambliss is leaving, but I’ll sure as hell not vote for anyone he or the Georgia GOP endorses for his replacement, likewise for Isakson...he’s outta there. I’ll get him in the primary, or in the General Election if I have to. At least an outright declared enemy is better than one in the trenches with you.
As for possible replacements, I think I’m gonna go like someone in the Georgia forum said...stay away from any old white good ole boy...I’ll be looking for someone younger - a Turk with a burn in his/her belly to go up there and make some damned trouble in that Senate along with Cruz. So as it is now, I’m not endeared of any of the potential candidates thus far, especially the current crop of House minors who want to go up to the Senate Majors....
Sad but true
My comment is if the republican is doing the same thing as the democrat, but with a kinder, gentler manner, would it not be hypocritical to criticize the democrat while ignoring the republican.
Wow. The idea that the gop despises it’s base is finally getting some traction.
This is 100%......Washington DC scum..either party...would sell out the souls of their children to be on the “correct” DC party list!
That isn’t exactly a news flash. It’s amazing to me how some Freepers back these people who despise them.
Actually the Democrat Elite ALSO HATE their BASE, However, They realize they NEED these stupid people DEPENDENT on them in order to stay in power, so they CATER to their Dependency, they CATER to these people in order to KEEP them. OUR side SHUNS OUR NEEDS.
Spot on.
At least it’s clear who our enemies are. Next election it’s payback time.
He got common knowledge on record.
I think embarrassed by fits better.
Unless anyone can think of a better term, let's call the RINOs what they are.
RINOs = Collaborators
Every one of the RINOs should lose their next primary. Clean out the dead wood because it is not only useless but harmful in this last-ditch fight to save the nation.
He didn’t reveal anything that wasn’t already known.
Support your local republicans as it all starts there. Luckily, we have a voice in Ted Cruz, Lee, Jan Brewer, West and we need to support and pump these guys up.
We have been too complacent and trusting these establishment republicans OVER AND OVER again to do the right thing and they have consistently showed their true colors.
The feeling is mutual.
According to polls, the military is the most respected group in America. The military is respected because it embodies leadership and courage.
Maybe the republican party can somehow glean a lesson from that, but I have doubts.
Speaking of Tories and Patriots...we should all ask ourselves how much we actually support those who advocate our principles, and how much we actually support those who don’t. How much support does one give to the Tea Party, how much to the existing federal government?
