Youve lived in CA too long. Stockholm syndrome -- i.e. he's gotten used to the removal of freedom.

Oh. My. God. There wasn’t even a rifle involved? My AR15s demand an apology.

Was wondering about that too
Seems to me cops on the scene or responding to the scene are less likely to have AR-15 than the usual pistols

Seems odd to me - he entered a secure, locked-down facility with a shotgun and managed to disarm two guards?
Perhaps he knew the habits of the guards well, although the media said he used a fake ID to enter the building, which means may not have had much opportunity to study his target.
Anyway, seems like Alexis either counted on having quite a bit of luck, or we aren’t being told something.

Isn’t the shotgun Joe Biden’s weapon of choice?

The thought that came to mind for me yesterday was a vision of newsrooms across the nation jumping with joy when they learned the shooter was NOT Muslim ...then their instant and bitter disappointment when they learned he was black.

How did he pass a test to get the one he got? He bought a gun legally? Where? When?

You are walking a slippery slope here.
Medical records are, for the moment, still private. The subset of mental health records is even “more” private. A medical provider cannot release mental health records unless there is a signed release that specifically states that they can be released. After the implementation of owebamacare the fedgov will likely have access to ALL of your health records any time they want.
So who decides if someone is crazy and shouldn’t be allowed to own a weapon? This regime believes that Tea Party, conservative, freedom loving Americans and Veterans are subversive threats to their ultimate goals of power and total control. That makes us all crazy in their eyes.
Who’s side are you on?

And from CNN's website article "It's easy to get an AR-15. They can be purchased online or in a gun store. Aaron Alexis legally purchased the one he used in the Navy Yard."

“I thought it was an AR-15 shotgun. “
There was a reporter from Fox at the White house who heard what sounded like gun shots and reported that a secret service guy suddenly showed up with “a big gun”. He had no idea if it was a rifle, shotgun, bazooka, etc. The only description he could offer was “big”. These people are completely ignorant on these issues.

No, the FBI says NO AR-15 was used. Gee thanks FBI. I thought all federal military issued civilian sportsman models with a 3 round burst feature.
