Colorado Democrat Senate Majority Leader John Morse concedes.
Colorado Democrats need a new senate leader. History was made tonight in Colorado as Democrat Senate Majority Leader John Morse was recalled for abridging Coloradanss Second Amendment civil liberties. The tally is currently 52%-48%. According to Kelly Maher of Revealing Politics, Morse supporters need to beat us two to one in remaining ballots. Impossible.
Its the first wave of legislative battles planned by citizens angry at state lawmakers who denied them a vote on their Second Amendment rights. As it stands now State Senator Angela Giron is narrowly ahead of her recall.
Morse conceded around 11:30 eastern time.
Ive said this repeatedly: Colorado is ground zero for our gun rights. It is the litmus test for the country.
Heres the bottom line, said Kurt Bardella, president and CEO of Endeavor Strategic Communications, which is consulting with the groups seeking to oust Morse and Giron. What happens in one week will have significant implications for the overall debate on gun-control. Lawmakers at every level of government see Colorado as a bellwether as to whether they can risk pursuing a more aggressive gun-control agenda.
Maybe Morse can get a job with Michael Bloombergs anti-gun group. Colorado seems to be shifting from blue to purple.
Will develop with Giron results.
*UPDATE 1: Girons lead has flipped to a trail. 57%-43%
Looks like Colorado Gunnies got BOTH of the bastards thrown out of office in the Colorado Recall!!!
YEAH BABY!!!!
To All Colorado Gunnies and Patriots: GOOD ON YA!!!! You just fired the 2013 Equivalent of “The Shot Heard Round The World” and FIRED two Dem asswipes!!!
It appears to be a brand new day for 2nd Amendment folks everywhere... we just won huge.
But they’ll try to come back with a vengeance. This ain’t over yet... We’re just getting started.
(Did I mention I was thrilled to hear this??? Is it showing???)
Giron is falling further behind. Now nearly 19%. Giron has to close a 5000 vote gap with only about 15000 votes yet to count.
Nah nah nah nah...
Nah nah nah nah...
HEY, HEY, HEY... GOODBYE!!!!
Damn, I’m giddy over here!!!
Outstanding job, Colorado!!!!
Might we flip the legislature in 2014?
These results are no shot across the bow.
They are a natural ass-whippin’
Be amazing what they whole country could do if we all stuck together like this.
ROFLMAO!!!
Congratulations!
Now if we Texans could only recall our (Democrat In All But Label Only) Speaker of the House.
It’s a great night in Colorado. And it gets even better if what I just read is true:
This will flop the balance in the Colorado Senate to Republican by one seat, which means R’s will control all the committees.
Heh. Due to recalls. Nice work, grassroots!
More like 19.7% with 62% of the vote counted. And she’s not conceding yet. There’s still hope, ya know!
Giron appears to be trailing BIG with half the vote counted. If it holds that’s shocking, her district is the more democrat of the 2.
Morse’s seat was GOP-leaning, he should have never been elected in the first place.
Bloomberg just took a weiner in the back end.
Morse is sucking weiner tonight, the communist bas’ turd!
Hell, I’m from Pennsylvania and I’m positively jubilant about it...
We have rabid anti-gun assholes in our state legislature too... But we outnumber them pretty heavily.
Still... It sends a loud and message..
You mess with one of us, you’ll deal with ALL of us.
Damn, it’s a good day!
As for you Texans - hell, you guys are pretty close to perfect already, as states go!!! If I wasn’t here and happy, I’d move THERE and be happy as well!!!
YEAH MAN!!!
Thanks be to God. Righteous rage works in Colorado!
Maybe we can vote out some top RINO’s in 2014 then
Awesome news! Way to go, CO!
HOORAY !!!!!
Time for Colorado voters to turn the tables on Nanny Bloomberg.
Send a contingent to New York to get voters behind a push to recall a few senators and repeal the state’s oppressive gun control laws.
I like it. Now all they need is for northern CO to secede as planned.
So proud of Colorado tonight!
