Pentagon adjusts plans for more intense attacks on Syria
Los Angeles Times ^ | Sept 7, 2013 | David S. Cloud

The Pentagon is preparing for a longer bombardment of Syria than it originally had planned, with a heavy barrage of missile strikes followed soon after by more attacks on targets that the opening salvos missed or failed to destroy, officials said.

The planning for intense attacks over a three-day period reflects the growing belief in the White House and the Pentagon that the United States needs more firepower to inflict even minimal damage on Syrian President Bashar Assad's forces, which have been widely dispersed over the last two weeks, the officials said.

The more unspoken the issue has become, the more plausible it reads.

IMHO, we fail to grasp a very distinct perspective of the Democrats when dealing with adversity.

We mistakenly assume they intend to control their adversaries by conquering them to change their volition or by eradicating them.

Instead, they perceive their adversaries will always exist. Their solution is not to change their volition, but simply to control them.

They think they are international power mobsters forming a syndicate of organized crime so they don’t kill one another.

The same mentally ill agendas of Obozo Liar, Queeg McAinal, Kerry the Faux Vietnam hero, and congressional rats wanting to bomb Syria could apply to 9/11!

"Ending the summit, Mr Putin said that world opinion was firmly against US-led intervention, adding that Russia would take Syria’s side. “Will we help Syria? We will,” he said. “We are already helping, we send arms.”"

Putin's statement that he will continue to sell weapons to Syria isn't going to be enough. To have any chance to deter the madman in the White House, Putin has to say and mean that he will defend Syria, and communicate that view widely to Congress and the American people. Maybe even that wouldn't work, but it is the last chance at deterrence before war.

I am sure Putin explained “the facts of life” to Obama privately — but he may not have been listening, was probably too busy getting prepped to meet with the Russian GLBT group. (He talked with Putin for 20 min, but met with the LGBT group for an hour — shows where his priorities lie)

And here we go.. limited strike turns into more extended one, then it turns into a full scale war.

It's quite possible they're intentionally pushing for this. The reasoning may be that WAR is their only alternative to an ECONOMY and GROWING DEBT that can not be sustained much longer.

I cannot prove this but usually when things move in a direction that defy common sense you can bet there is an ulterior motive afoot.

“This is going to be WWIII I bet.”

Looks like Russia is taking it “personally” — do we really want to go to war with Russia for no good reason?!

Russia cancels Syria lobbying mission to D.C.; More Russian war ships reportedly head for Mediterranean

“The RIA-Novosti agency said two ships from Russia’s Black Sea Fleet, the frigate Smetlivyi and the landing ship Nicholai Filchenkov, an electronic surveillance vessel, were ready to head to the region, according to a high-ranking source in the defense ministry. Russian news agencies said at the end of August that the navy was dispatching an anti-submarine ship and a missile cruiser to the Mediterranean.

Russia has a military base on Syria’s west coast at Tartus, and has been slowly increasing its naval presence in the region, along with the U.S., in recent weeks. “

Would Obama open a Pandora’s box with a Syrian strike?

http://www.theprovince.com/news/Would+Obama+open+Pandora+with+Syrian+strike/8879925/story.html

“What is the risk that terrorists could obtain Syria’s chemical weapons?

A: It’s pretty high should the regime collapse and Syria dissolve into political and social chaos. Jeffrey White, a defence analyst at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, said in an interview that the weapons are secured in special chemical weapons storage facilities. There is always the danger, however, that rebel forces could overrun them. In this case, the enduring threat against the U.S. and its allies comes more from rebel actions than from the regime of Bashar Assad.”

Putin is playing a strong hand against Obama. Obama doesn’t want to look weak (too late). This leads to a situation where neither will want to back down. Not good.

Obama has painted himself into a corner. If the ramifications weren’t so serious, I’d be sitting down with popcorn in hand.

I think this could get very ugly.

If you’re going in, do it. Don’t wait for weeks while your opponents regroup and outflank you.

Obama, you’re a pussy. You’re about to get our ass kicked to prove you aren’t. Not gonna happen. You’ll always be a pussy. Our nation will pay.

The intellect of a nine year old, with his finger on the nuclear trigger. What could go wrong?

...their only alternative to an ECONOMY and GROWING DEBT that can not be sustained much longer.

Wrecking our economy was only one piece of Obama's overall plan to destroy our country. Enabling our enemies is another important aspect in his long-term planning, and his second term is the time where he can really act on that part with impunity.

And now he wants us to get involved in a war on the side of Al Qaeda...

“Just Friday, a rebel group claimed responsibility for a chemical attack for which “intelligence” tags Syrian strongman Bashar Assad. Another rebel group was exposed for summarily executing captured Syrian soldiers. These are the kinds of rebels who appear to hold sway, hardly the “moderates” that Mr. Kerry insists “intelligence” shows to be dominant.

War-weary Americans deserve the facts. Right now, from this administration, they’re not getting them. “

Strike Syria? Think again

One of our carriers is going to be at the party, and the George Washington may be rerouted from the Persian Gulf. Carrier based planes are going to be part of the attack, and will remain there to enforce a No Fly Zone until the authorization expires.
