Obama, in Stockholm, says that on Syria, ‘the international community cannot be silent’(operation)

STOCKHOLM — President Obama took his campaign for a punitive military strike against Syria overseas on Wednesday, declaring that “the international community cannot be silent” and that its credibility is on the line as his request for congressional approval of such action moved ahead in the Senate.

Warlord Obama's Operation 'Do Something'!

If I correctly understand what the lunatics running our government are saying, Obama wants to bomb Syria to send Syria a powerful "message" via a limited war which isn't a war because bombing a sovereign country with cruise missiles isn't war "in the classic sense" because this is a "limited action" not aimed at regime change but rather aimed at degrading a tyrant but not toppling the tyrant who's gotta go because he's Hitler because he used chemical weapons on a small scale, so America must respond with no boots on the ground because there's no military solution in Syria but America's "credibility" is bound up in a foreign policy based on a "red line" which Obama says he didn't draw because "the world" drew it but Assad allegedly crossed it, which somehow obligates a single country -- America -- to "act" to restore the red line's "credibility" by launching a perfectly fine-tuned, highly calibrated limited "action" against Syria to prevent Syria from attacking Israel, North Korea from attacking South Korea and Iran from attacking Israel because the way to deter murderous, irrational and maniacal tyrants is by pinprick bombing and liberals never believe in the "Domino theory" except when it's convenient.

Unmistakably clear message, eh? During the George W. Bush years, liberals would argue hysterically that Bush attacked the wrong country -- Iraq -- in response to 9/11, a manifestly false charge. Now libbies argue ferociously that the way to deal with Iran is to attack the wrong country, Syria.

And after liberals had ludicrously insisted on Tuesday that wider American involvement in the Middle East is easy to avoid by simply doing in Syria something like a pinprick here, a pinprick there, here a pin, there a pin, everywhere a pinprick, and not picking sides in its civil war, yesterday the Senate Foreign Relations Committee approved a couple of amendments with language about changing the battlefield momentum and arming 'opposition forces', which means picking sides in the civil war. Committee member John McCain, pausing momentarily from his Poker game, had earlier complained that the amount of military action authorized in the resolution wouldn't harm Syria enough, so Democrat Committee honchos, desperate to bail out the Nobel Peace Laureate's war, went along and the resolution, which Obama says he doesn't need to launch his humanitarian bombing anyway, got approved. While John Kerry yesterday was busy lying to a House panel claiming "we have no intention of assuming responsibility for Assad's civil war, that is not in the cards, that is not what is here," the Senate panel was doing just that. As for Obama's impressive coalition-building, he couldn't get the U.N., couldn't get the Arab League, couldn't get NATO, couldn't even get the Brits to sign on, so fierce Warlord Obama's 'Coalition of the Willing' in Syria amounts to Uncle Sam providing air power to Saudi-backed Al Nusra lads, all chummy with the gang that reshaped Manhattan's skyline on 9/11. In the Iranian vs. Saudi contest for supremacy in the region, Al Nusra, et al. are useful Saudi proxies -- a good reason Uncle Sam should sit this one out.

And McCain's beloved Free Syrian Army? The FSA stands accused by the United Nations of war crimes for executing 10 captured Syrian soldiers, all caught on video. "The soldiers were videotaped begging for their lives before being executed," reports Christopher Orlet in the "American Spectator".

MaCain's wonderful Jeffersonian democrats have been accused of carrying out murders, engaging in kidnappings, torture, extortions and other civic-minded works. A Syrian activist going by the name "Samih" informed Human Rights Watch that FSA members were kidnapping soldiers. "They would kidnap them and ask their parents to pay a ransom to let them go." Almost two dozen Syrian soldiers were murdered after the FSA took control of a border post. Before that, the FSA had cut off the arms and legs of a Syrian Army lieutenant colonel, according to witnesses. All of which has McCain convinced these nice chaps should be running the show if Assad is deposed.

Laughingly, liberals claim Obama needs to start a war with Syria in order to rescue his "credibility" after his 'red line' comment he now blames on the world. His credibility will be in tatters! Yet nothing snuffs out credibility like handing Iraq over to the Iranians, not lifting a finger in Benghazi, dithering as the Iranian mullahs fast-track their way toward acquiring The Bomb. And nothing is quite as dumb as appointing John Kerry as your pitchman for a war based on intel "evidence" collected by James Clapper.

Anyway, that's...
My Two Cents...

Translation of “the international community must not be silent”: “Don’t leave me hanging out here in the wind! I don’t want to be held responsible for this!”

Oh great, now he’s taking his embarrassing act on the road.

Can we at least act like we don’t know him while he’s over there making our nation look like Hooterville Junction for the next few days?

This Syrian intervention is much more about Iran than Syria. The Syrian civil war has given Iran a great strategic opportunity. Within all that aid, the Iranians have positioned in forward Syrian areas state of the art short range missile batteries pointed at Israel manned by their own Revolutionary Guards. These missiles cannot be stopped by Iron Dome and has put Israel in “check”. Eventually Israel realizes that it will have to attack Iran’s nuclear program which proceeds daily. However grave harm will come to Israel if those missiles are in place when the attack comes. Their location must be pinpointed. The US and Israeli missile launch on Monday was a test to gauge Russian detection capabilities. How much notice will the commanders of those batteries get that an attack is coming? It was probably the inability to pinpoint the exact location of those batteries that delayed the “limited strike”. Obviously there is no such thing as a limited strike. The attack can easily involve the US in a prolonged bloody conflict. That conflict would include no doubt an Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities. ( Netanyahu would be foolish to let this crisis go to waste. However attacking Iran will not be a cakewalk. They have fortified the Persian Gulf with state of the art Chinese supplied shore to ship missiles. American ships operating in the narrow Persian Gulf will be sunk. This “limited strike” will be neither limited or quick. Many young brave Americans will die.

Apparently as well, there’s a new gas pipeline mixed into this. The Saudis and Qataris are trying to push a new pipeline through Syria to feed Europe, which would bite heavily into Russia’s Gazprom business. Since Assad’s Syria is a Russian “friend”, they’ve resisted. Kicking Assad out would improve the chances of the new Qatari pipeline.

The red line should have been on Iran’s nuclear program.

Sure he can...

Mentioning the Chicago shootings doesn’t advance a Democrat/Socialist cause, and might make a Democrat look bad.

he is getting desperate. Odumbo the "mad man" now wants the rest of the world to help him save face. He got all of us into this mess and expects someone else to pull him out of the fire. (Not his guy, "tain't gonna happen). The American people failed to realize what a nut job we have for a president (I didn't vote for him either time) and now the world sees how desperate he has become.

Brilliant, as usual, Mr. Huang——but you’re really pointing out once again how screwed we all are.

How did we turn into such a dumb downed society as to elect this baboon twice?! I don’t think America has ever had such low information voters before in the history of this once great land.
