Former Boehner Aides, GOP Sources: House Speaker Will Step Down After 2014 Elections
Wimp is right....he’s also afraid to go up against Obama.
Kind of an ambiguous title. He’s going to run for re-election one more time, but no more? Or he’s going to run for his seat in 2014 and then step down when he’s re-elected?
Or, is he not running for re-election?
Why not today?
Still time to get more cash to be for ramming amnesty through. The tan man spent all summer fund raising instead of opposing the kenyan.
He will pocket that cashola and retire to the beach in Naples. This really shouldn’t be a surprise. He has been telegraphing retirement for some time. He’s whipped and cashing out.
Cantor is not the Majority Whip, as you assert. He is the Majority Leader.
Cantor is a bright and capable leader, telegenic and, not unimportantly, Jewish.
In any case, the article is garbage. Boehner has made no such decision.
What’s the holdup? Start now.
Why wait?
Cantor is a bright and capable leader, telegenic and, not unimportantly, Jewish.
Agreed. The letter Cantor released yesterday was an outstanding preemptive capitulation on Syria before the House debate even began. He would make a fine “leader” of the Surrender Party.
I stand corrected.
LOL!
Who Zerohedge? His photo is gay.
Get out now!!
2014?
How about tomorrow?
Tomorrow works for me!
He’s probably pretty sure the democrats are going win the house so that’s why he’s not stepping down now. It will also prevent an embarassing challenge by true conservatives in the house. Why bother when they know he’s leaving.
Not only “retirement” ==lobbyist largesse and gucci gulch for him with his “connections”.
Our modern day Bob Michel type bull hocky repub.
Oh, how I wish the reporter from the Guardian (who’s friends with Snowden) would release the information on Boner.
Way not soon enough.
Rand, Ted, can you make this guy disappear..like this week?
Why would he think that? I think it's very unlikely that the GOP will lose the House in 2014.
Ironically 17 Republican patriots need to say they will vote against any Republican speaker if amnesty passes.
They need to declare support for Pelosi.
They may lose the house over Syria. No democrat will lose over this issue. Lots of republicans will.
After the 2014 midterms? Get bent, Boehner.
You need to pack your bags and get out now, you appeasing, back-stabbing, worthless Democrat!
