He’s probably pretty sure the democrats are going win the house so that’s why he’s not stepping down now. It will also prevent an embarassing challenge by true conservatives in the house. Why bother when they know he’s leaving.

He’s probably pretty sure the democrats are going win the house so that’s why he’s not stepping down now. Why would he think that? I think it's very unlikely that the GOP will lose the House in 2014.
