Obama on Syria: ‘I didn’t set a red line’ … ‘My credibility is not on the line’
The Daily Caller ^ | 09/04/2013

Posted on 09/04/2013 7:11:39 AM PDT by TexasCajun

President Obama told reporters in Sweden Wednesday that he never “set a red line” when it came to deciding to intervene militarily in Syria.

That claim directly contradicts Obama’s remarks in August of last year, when he announced his “red line” for action in Syria during a White House press conference

Why would anyone in their right mind lift a finger to assist this useless, ignorant, lying POS? For the life of me, I can not figure out how this country has fallen so fast and so far as to elect this monumental ignoramus to the presidency... TWICE!

I’ve been wondering along the way if this whole Syria episode is a trap being set by Iran and/or Russia for which Israel might not have to pay the price for.

They goad boy wonder into an attack on Syria by way of his delicate ego and then in response someone lobs a nuke into TelAviv.

One thing for sure, the US is playing the weak hand here from a strategy perspective.

Credibility and Obama are 2 words that will never rightfully be in the same paragraph. Nor will character, honesty or integrity.

We’re getting in an area of serious psychological issues here. Serious denial and ego protection.

I think the President is absolutely truthful:

Show me the painted red line drawn in the sand. It does not exist.

His credibility is not on the line. If the painted red line was never drawn in the sand, how can his credibility be on that non-existent line?

(end liberal think)

I don’t know which is worse, Obama challenging anyone to call him a liar, or that idiot reporter sitting there nodding his empty gord, as though Obama was making real points.

You have to have credibility before it can be put on the line.

His next book: The audicity of the dope.

Meanwhile, there has been a slight shift in the reason for war now...they possess weapons banned (he did not specify using them). He is quietly backing away. I wonder if this dirt bag knows that the US possessed so many nerve agents through the 60s it took years to allegedly dispose of them??

Oh well business as usual for the liar in chief.

As I said on another thread on the same topic, I heard San Fran Nan use a similar line on FNC yesterday and figured it was the DNC’s new talking point after the weekend. Found the quote on Fox’s site:

“Minutes later, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi told reporters that she, too, feels Syrian President Bashar Assad has “crossed a line.”

“President Obama did not draw the red line. Humanity drew it,” Pelosi said. She said lawmakers will have to decide, but she thinks “we must respond.” She said she does not think Congress will reject the president’s request for authorization. She later told her caucus that it’s “in the national interest” to respond on Syria.
