Is the dumping of the most loquacious and obnoxious liberal from one of Hollywoods most prestigious positions an indication that movie land is finally getting the message?

Evidently it is as Michael Moore is no longer a governor on the documentary board of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. During the election that took place in July 2013 Moore was replaced by Alex Gibney, winner of the best documentary Oscar in 2007 for Taxi to the Dark Side.

The only thing that will get their attention is when people who disagree with the Hollywood political positions stop paying for their products.

Moore had the temerity to mock Hussein the other day.
It seems that retribution was not long in coming.

Last year I paid to see Dinesh D'Souza's "2016: Obama's America". Prior to that the last time I paid to see a movie at a theater was in 1996 when I saw "Twister".
I do my best to not support Hollywood and/or the liberal freaks who work there.

Doesn’t matter. I personally have dealings with TWO who sit at that board in the Docs and they have it stacked with more lefties you can count. They will still lean libtard. That’s why I work in this town to find out who the enemies are..

I do my best to not support Hollywood and/or the liberal freaks who work there. I understand but there really ARE a few real conservatives who do make pix that originate there and I always try to support them. But consider, would you go see a movie directed and produced by an ultra liberal but written by a FREEPER? If our own Travis McGee's books were made into movies would you go see them? I have a selfish motivation too. I'm a screenwriter and I have a Hollywood agent (who is himself a Christian, conservative and a 'Nam vet) and I have properties in front of Speilbergs DREAMWORKS. Also other places. I had a script that was selected to be purchased by NCIS but then Ziva quit and that killed it.

Didn’t Moore’s wife dump him recently, too?
Not a good year for the obese hypocrite.

I said I do my best, that was in my previous comment. That means I do not go to the theaters, which I believe was also in my previous comment.
Ticket sales drives additional ticket sales which makes movies and those who act in them a success. I do not contribute to that.

Who knows what internal politics aligned to oust Michael Moore from his seat on the Academy's documentary board? His sloppy appearance and obnoxious public rants did make 'Hollywood' look bad, even if the majority of board members were in agreement with Moores political positions. His removal is a positive sign but hardly heralds some Great Awakening in la-la land. 'Hollywood' has always been liberal and I seriously doubt that will change. Yes, there are conservatives in the entertainment business but they are a distinct minority and many keep their political convictions 'private' making their influence on the business next to invisible. Still, we'll take a positive where we can find it and the obese and ungracious Michael Moore being removed from a prestigious Tinseltown position is cause for a minor cheer.

“It seems that retribution was not long in coming.”
This happened back in July of this year, so unless Obama is also clairvoyant, Moore did himself in without any “help.”

Sorry to hear about that getting dropped. I need to get on the writing horse after way too many times of falling off.
