President Obama and his successors in the Oval Office are not obligated to make public the names of individuals visiting the White House, according to a decision of the federal Circuit Court for the District of Columbia made public Friday.
The case was brought by Judicial Watch, the government watchdog nonprofit that has been fighting a long legal battle seeking to force release of the White House visitor logs as public records under the Freedom of Information Act.
But in a decision that is drawing intense criticism from across the ideological spectrum, the circuit court said the president has a "constitutional perogative" not to tell the American people who he or his staff meets with in the White House.
The court said the president has such a prerogative because he is not covered by the FOIA and because of "special policy considerations" that allow exemption of visitor logs from classification as agency records subject to release under the public records law.

Obama says his is ‘most transparent administration’ ever
President Obama on Thursday hailed his administration for its transparency.
“This is the most transparent administration in history,” Obama said during a Google Plus “Fireside” Hangout.
“I can document that this is the case,” he continued. “Every visitor that comes into the White House is now part of the public record. Every law we pass and every rule we implement we put online for everyone to see.”
Thanks for letting we, the people, know which "side" the judiciary is on (like we didn't know....). It's our own government against us now, but remember, they're the ones who put up the wall of separation between us.

So why don’t we just say the most heinous beings on Earth have visited Obama’s little house and then leave it up to the administration to prove differently
This part of this admin will be transparent in 12 years. He never said everything would be transparent right away.

Something tells me this appeals court would have come down with a different decision had a Republican been in the White House.
That picture is an eye-opener for anyone under the delusion that we won the Cold War.

No telling! A sad state of affairs in this country when we cannot trust anyone in government or media because the whole lot of them are either liars or compromised. That is what corruption and abuse of power does to a country.
