Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin said Sunday that Australian college student Christopher Lane's death wasn't about gun control -- "it was about murder" -- and she believes it "would be nice" if President Barack Obama would express his condolences to Lane's family.
"I certainly am going to say something on behalf of the state of Oklahoma, to the family," the Republican governor told "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace. "It would be nice if our nation were to certainly express their condolences, how very sorry we are."
Chancey Allen Luna, 16, James Francis Edwards Jr., 15, and Michael Dewayne Jones, 17. Prosecutors said they gunned down 22-year-old Christopher Lane in Duncan because they were "bored and just wanted to see somebody die."
After Lane's murder, Tim Fischer, the former deputy prime minister of Australia, advised tourists they should boycott the United States to make a statement about gun control, but Fallin denied gun control was at fault.
"It's an issue about murder," she said. "It's an issue about three young men who did something very terrible to a very innocent bystander, that was jogging through his community, and it's very unfortunate what has happened."
Fallin said she understands that Australians are upset because of the shooting, but "people in Oklahoma are very upset too," as are many in the United States," but the Obama administration should express its condolences. I certainly know that's what I'm going to do."

What a bizarre stance for this guy to take, in light of the fact that Lane wasn't here as a tourist. He was here on a baseball scholarship.
Maybe American colleges and universities should institute a policy of rejecting applications from Australian applicants, mate?

Mr Lane was not black or Muslim. Obama could not care less about his murder. Ditto Holder and most of the media. Period.

A lot of things Mr. Obama should do—and should have done.
1. call the Rodeo Clown and have him re-enstated and have a few laughs with him.
2. He should call the family of the Vet who was beaten to death and give his condolences.
3. he should have called Paula Deen and supported her in her case—or at least let people know he was in favor of her policies.
4. He should have called Zimmermann too...
5. Maybe call Putin and work out this Syria thing before launching rockets or drones...

Obama doesn’t give a rap about a white man being shot to death by black thugs ‘for the fun of it’. The victim wasn’t black or Muslim so Obama is too busy playing golf to offer Chris Lane’s family even a perfunctory condolence message.
Was the victim gay, black, or transgendered? No? Then Obama can’t be bothered.
Well, I’m glad she said that.
But I think that what Oklahoma and every other place has got to do is crush the black gangs.
These odious creeps weren’t even members of a gang, although apparently the 15 year old wanted to start his own “franchise” and thought this would impress one of the bigger gangs.
Even Mexico is trying to crush its gangs, although according to somebody I know in law enforcement here, we’re not supporting it very much, which is something that both of the recent post-election-of-Obama Mexican presidents have complained about.
Meanwhile, the rappers welcomed by Obama to the White House exalt gangs, the killing of police, the raping and killing of women, etc.
