Buchanan: ‘Whites are Only Group You Can Discriminate Against in America’

Denouncing the use of race in college admissions on PBS’ The McLaughlin Group, former Richard Nixon speechwriter and GOP presidential candidate Pat Buchanan claimed that caucasians were the only group in America who could be legally discriminated against.

“It should be like the NFL: whoever’s the best player plays, and whoever does best academically should be advanced,” Buchanan said of diversity in collegiate acceptances. “What is wrong with that?”

“I think there’s an argument to be said that the greatest affirmative action program that there is in the country is being born white,” panelist Michelle Bernard argued. “There is a natural assumption when you are applying to institutions of higher education that you are excellent or you are more superb than others.”

“With due respect,” Buchanan responded, “whites are the only group that you can discriminate against legally in America now.”

Affirmative action is actually just official acknowledgment by the government, academia, and industry that blacks, Hispanics, and females are inferior to white & Asian men.

Buchanan was also a speech writer for President Reagan.  Coming at least a decade later, one wonders why they felt it necessary to go clear back to Nixon for Buchanan credentials.

Actually, it's quite clear.  They wanted to tie him to the only president who resigned.

I don't agree with Buchanan on some things these days.  He should be introduced in as pleasing a manner as they would an inept far out Left Wing lunatic, like say Obama.

I think they way it works is that the msm’s brains get short circuited when there are two minority groups involved, but I definitely notice they back off of screaming anti-Semitism when the offender’s are black.

on the other hand if someone is white and Christian, for example mel Gibson, even making an alcohol induced anti-Semitic diatribe is a career killer.
I remember that marlon brando said that jewish producers run Hollywood (I think we can see that with our own eyes), and he was persecuted endlessly. I guess i’m just a little ticked that as a white, chistian male, I don’t get the luxury of all that protection.

Indeed, the assumption is that they are handicapped. But so is a student who must compete with the children of Ivy league Alumnae who have attended select private schools. So is a football player from a small school where six-man football is what he must play.

Then too there was Germany telling Hollywood during the Thirties to ban Jewish producers and any Jew connected with Hollywood. Also, local golf coursed banned Jews in some areas. Then came WW2 and everything was then kosher.
