On climate change, Obama, EPA plan action without Congress
Washington Times ^ | Aug 14, 2013 | By Valerie Richardson

BOULDER, Colo. | EPA chief Gina McCarthy said Wednesday that the Obama administration is finished waiting for Congress to act on climate change and plans to bypass the legislative branch in developing a federal response. Ms. McCarthy, who was confirmed last month as Environmental Protection Agency administrator, cited President Obama’s June 25 speech at Georgetown University, in which he unveiled his Climate Action Plan and vowed to make combatting climate change a priority of his second term.

Mr. Obama gave “what I really think is a most remarkable speech by a president of the United States,” said Ms. McCarthy in remarks at the University of Colorado Boulder.

“Essentially, he said that it is time to act,” she said. “And he said he wasn’t going to wait for Congress, but that he had administrative authorities and that it was time to start utilizing those more effectively and in a more concerted way.”

She insisted that reducing greenhouse-gas emissions could be accomplished without harming economic growth, calling the tension between the two priorities a “false choice.”

“We’re going to do this this year, next year, the following year, until people understand these are not scary things to do, these are actions we can all do, they’re actions that benefit everybody, that will grow the economy, and they’re actions that will protect the health and safety of individuals,” Ms. McCarthy said.

Wonder if that's like those "false scandals" things?

Cut the White Hut/Executive Branch funding by 90%, in the House, where Funding originates....let them do it as a Community Organizer.....

The USSC needs to be brought to Rule on the over-reaching Executive Orders, and reign in the Czars and Regulatory Agencies....de-fund ALL OF THEM, and the economy and Freedom will grow EXPONENTIALLY.

I must have missed the part of the constitution where it said a bunch of federal employees and political appointees could create, implement and enforce any law they want as long as they were “finished waiting for Congress to act.”

Bend Over Citizens.
They are going to shove this up our butts whether we like itor not.

Just like they reamed us out with Obamacare.

What choice do we have? Actually we have none.

We would have a choice if we had men and women in Congress with common sense and some courage. Unfortunately all we have there is Obama Fellators. Cowards and good time Charlies enjoying their perks.

Republicans could stop this. But they won’t not with McConnell and Boehner leading the charge. The charge to the rear.

Well... I’m not sure whether Obama et al actually NEED Congressional approval if they’re going to change the sun’s luminosity.

Now that the congress and senate have agreed by default to hand over their legislative responsibilities to Obama we might just as well disband them both.

Just think how much of the taxpayers money that would save every year.

And the empty Capitol building would make a neat mosque, so convenient to the White House.

The full power and brunt of Constitutional authority will be brought against any President who tries to circumvent the Congress of the United States of America and it's enumerated powers....

But only if that President is a Republican and the media hates him.

See how that works?

Resistance is NOT futile. Better to die on your feet than suffer the chains of slavery. This is so illegal that we have a DUTY to disobey.

Hey Jim. God bless you.

We’re tracing the deterioration of the USA under the spell of evil. Gotta remember, that sometimes we can’t see the forest for the trees. This site does a splendid job of mapping out lots of individual trees to great detail. No botanist could ask for better, to extend the metaphor. But we got to deal with the Master of the forest to really take care of the problem.

God’s made the task very simple for us with what Jesus did at the cross. We go to the everlasting arms of the Son who acts on the Father’s behalf, embrace them as a once misbehaving child coming to reconcile with a loving parent would (hard to do because some of us are so busy being grown-up we’ve forgotten about what that is like, and maybe others had harsh, cursing parents and learned little confidence about that) and voila! Forgiven. And empowered. The power we get is the power of light and love, a supernatural love that has no reason in our self interest, but rather in God’s interest in us and all His human creation. We now use that to fight away demons both internal and external. We literally DO love enemies. There is nothing like it. It’s purely of a very tough minded heaven. People who think of cotton candy heavens are very misled....

Anyhow love and grace to you.

Obama is not going to allow himself to be tied to the EPA actions. He is going to allow the EPA to take action on their own without Congress because he cannot afford to force Democrats in Congress to vote on climate change legislation, which is anti-union, anti-jobs and an economy killer.

Climate change fits in with the OWS movement against big business, which was intended to shield Democrat politicians from making decisions that will anger one part of the base or another.

You can look at the proposed coal terminals in the Pacific Northwest as an example. The coal company, Peabody coal is a crony partner of the Obama administration, Goldman Sachs is the developer, Warren Buffet owns the RR that will carry the coal and Patty Murray’s husband works for SSA the longshoremen company that will run the terminal. Richard Trumka, as the former head of the UMW is pushing for the new terminals. The environmentalists and the people who live near the rails and terminals oppose the projects for very good reasons, but the only one that the state is relying on is GLOBAL WARMING. That way the Governor and state politicians can delay the final decision by two years, essentially stretching it out until it dies a natural death, without incurring any of the blame from the unions.

Everytime the press uses the word “congress” readers should replace that word with “the American people”, just to get an idea of what it means.

I can get 91 octane no ethanol gas here, or buy cheaper 10% ethanol 89 or 87 octane fuel. The 91 octane gives me 18 mpg in my 1-ton van, the 87 gives me 15 mpg. The 20% increase in mileage is more than the cost difference, so now the big van drinks the good stuff. (You used to be able to buy 87 octane no ethanol gas here, too.)
