I understand from other reports that there were three explosions reported and there is a huge debris field.
No other details at this time

That’s a big FN plane. Hopefully, it was a relatively unpopulated area.

A lot of big storms and bad weather down here in Alabama the yesterday and last night. Probably weather related.

"7:42 a.m.: Birmingham resident Eddie Smith, who lives on 90th Place North near the airport, said he heard a loud boom about 5 a.m. "It shook my house so hard, I jumped up," Smith said.
A few minutes later, he said he heard another loud boom. Then it got quiet. He went outside to walk his dog and could see the smoke rising over the trees and hills.
Smith said he was stopped by a Birmingham police officer who drew his weapon and ordered him to return to his home and said that there had been a plane crash."

I'm curious if the wreckage/debris field is consistent with a crash or indicative of an in flight explosion?

The video I watched this morning showed it to be on fire before the crash.
