Obama's Veiled Threat Against Those Who Challenge Him
Obama Press Conference ^ | August 9th 2013 | Understand the Stimulus

Posted on 08/09/2013 9:01:39 PM PDT by Understand the stimulus

The Brain Dead American Media missed this veiled threat in Obama's opening statement: "We shouldn’t forget the difference between the ability of our government to collect information online under strict guidelines and for narrow purposes, and the willingness of some other governments to throw their own citizens in prison for what they say online"

Tell that to the arab who made a movie and posted it to the Net and who was blamed for creating the Benghazi Attacks ?

Tell that to all those who have been surveilled by federal agencies using the NSA databases ?

Obama often uses words like Clinton did that ask was 'Is' "is"...

Obama wants to diminish opposition to what hes doing...and he uses secrecy to make sure political opponents cant raise the issues of liberty...

Bumbrain Bush created the Patriot Act opportunity that allows Obama to recalibrate legal language to destroy our freedoms ...and todays press conference was intended to try to stop the public rebellion against Obama's real intention: to transform america from a free capitalist society to a communist state via Dept of Justice retranslation of what laws can be reformed by Executive Order

The outrage created by the NSA revelations are growing as Federal Agency after Federal Agency are connected to the vast spying on citizens...Obama has to STOP the narrative and Obama's blaming Putin is actually a communist media trick he picked up from Stalin and his other communist heroes...

Our forefathers would be shooting by now.

True. But before they started shooting, they’d smack the crap out of us for letting it get this far out of hand.

You mean like that evil country that arrested this man because of something he put online:

Gee Obama, next time you look in a mirror why don't done you call the leader of this evil country a school yard bully or something?

Irony thy name is the teleprompter speech writer...

There is one flaw with your opinion and it’s an error that seems to get repeated often regarding the stupid youtube video.

The guy who made it was a felon for using a computer to commit crimes - he was forbidden by the court per the agreement HE SIGNED from accessing the internet.

Making a movie and uploading it to youtube violated the terms of his release and that will usually get you incarcerated again in the Federal court system. The Judges have little sense of humor and it was an obvious violation.

The film thing was nonsense and we can all agree on that, but very few FReepers seem to understand that the schmuck who made the movie was in violation of his own agreement with the court. I have ZERO sympathy for that guy and his terms of release were in place before he made the movie.

Outside of that, the nonsense about the video being responsible for Benghazi remains completely ridiculous to everyone who is not a member of the fawning brain-dead MSM.

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. - DOI, 1776

Thanks for posting that.

The arrest though was creepy, not because it happened, which it had to, but because of the quickness and sudden disappearance of the guy, those kind of arrests aren’t normally handled in such a Gestapo way.

Normally there would have been a lawyer, perhaps delays, some interviews, I can’t imagine someone the media wanted to talk to, someone serving the left’s interests, being taken out as quickly and silently as this guy was.

Post #24 was the reference. I apologize for expecting you to read and understand part of the Declaration of Independence.

Sorry, I have never memorized the Declaration. Something remiss in my education. I live a life a life that (sorry to say) expects my rep. in congress to uphold the Constitution. As for the Declaration, it is a great and wonderful document, but our constitution is under fire at the moment an that is my focus.

Yes, and no. I do suspect he was put on ice due to the publicity, but the process is pretty straightforward if he admitted to agents that he made and uploaded the video.

Probation Officer files violation notice with the court and off you go. It’s really up to the Judge based on recommendation from Probation if he is released pending ruling of the court on the violation?

Because the Constitution is not being followed and we are being abused by our government we need to revolt and declare independence from our leadership. Basically, I am saying, “Follow the Constitution, or else.”

Now I understand. Posting your thoughts in pieces can cause confusion, especially to those of us that are not intellectually the swiftest. LOL!

I’m fully agreeing with you, but.......

I just don’t believe that the same exact situation, if reversed with a republican and Benghazi, would have been so perfect.

For one thing, the media would have been screaming and the video of the instantaneous arrest and disappearance would have been used to accomplish the same goal as would have been served if he had not been arrested at all.

This instant, silent removal, under the context of him being the culprit for the massive defeat in Benghazi, was something that no republican president could have escaped scrutiny over.

“Big difference ... the large number of well armed citizens.”

Nope. The germans had very liberal gun laws before Hitler got into power.

“Many who refuse to give up their weapons, many who have weapons that the government doesn’t know about.”
That’s the point. Most germans we’re sad of violence as a political tool after WWI. Some like the kommunist and nazi riot gangs were not.
