ABM Security Services Inc., which employs security officers for the Pennsylvania Convention Center, will pay $65,000 to resolve a lawsuit over the firing of a Muslim security officer who refused to remove her head scarf, or khimar, a day after she was hired in February 2011, the Philadelphia office of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission announced.
The EEOC had filed the religious discrimination suit on behalf of Tahira B. El, of Philadelphia.
The money goes to El, the EEOC said, and New York-based ABM will revise its dress code to add a religious exception for sincerely held religious beliefs, unless providing the accommodation would impose an undue hardship.
The company will also provide training for hiring managers and others at its Essington office, the EEOC said.
The solution is quite simple: Don’t hire Muslims.
I’ll bet dollar to a donut this Muslim plant didn’t wear a Scarf to her interview.
Anyway it’s a good lesson to this employer to probe deeply into the backgrounds of its prospective employees. A comprehensive background check is a small price to pay to keep from making a $65K mistake.
Try things like group employee get-togethers during the interview and have appetizers that are bacon-wrapped or pigs in a blanket, etc. First employee to provide positive indication the potential is a Muslim gets a reward, etc.
Not American or fair you say? Neither is Islam, and their ‘fair’ is deadly.
Amen to that. I’ve even turned around and walked out anywhere I see these terrorists manning a cash register or working in a store.
So... If we all called CAIR and complained about harassment because of our faith, wouldn’t they be guilty of discrimination because they didn’t care about OUR harassment since we are Christians?
However, if she wore one to the interview, and if there is either no dress code forbidding such headwear or she wasn't told about it, then the security firm is in the wrong.

Note to self: Don't hire Muslims. Find a reason to not hire them besides profiling and then profile reject them.

Why even take a photo? Who is she really and how would you know?
