VIDEO footage from Pizzeria Mozza, which is located at Melrose and Highland, shows the final moments before journalist Michael Hastings' Mercedes Benz exploded into flames.

YES!I am. That’s right.
“Those are usually followd by LEOs and coroners though. Unless theres some communicable disease.”
Or perhaps the body is contaminated by hazadous materials such as gasoline or fight-fighting chemicals.
Is the Pope a Fabian Socialist?
Have you ever seen the SNL skit, The Californians?
I can gather a few things. While this news guy was filling his tank, someone ran a red light going from left to right along what might be the same road as the accident. I'm guessing that this was Hastings' car. It appeared to be moving along pretty quickly, maybe 50 or 60 at the time.
The wreck/fire is but a few blocks from that gas station. Not much else that I can see.
Unrelated, gas prices are high there, and the driver's headlights are poorly aimed. Plus, he does a lot of rolling stops.
Cute. Artie’s glasses have no lenses, but he is wearing contacts (visible in his right eye).

Is there a private plane area at the airport. Could he be meeting a private plane?
Possibly bullet holes? They look a little big but I haven't had the luxury of shooting holes in a car to see how they form.
I swear I’ve heard every one of those street names on Dragnet. (North Easterner)
Looks like a few more spots when enlarged. (To the right and down $
The story that he ran into the tree at high speed which caused the fire is b.s.. The damage to the car and the tree as well as the angle of the car betray that narrative. The engine being down the road 150ft also stamps b.s. on the official story. That was a professional hit. Who’s next?
Luke Rudkowski (We Are Change)? Stewart Rhodes (Oath Keepers)? Dan Johnson (People against the NDAA)? All three have had attempts to set them up with kiddie porn lately. They’re going after legit journalists and the alternative media.
I don’t know. Is he?
MAYBE , he;s NOT dead, Jim.
Incendiary bullet in the gas tank?
5.56mm
So that’s a provable assumption. Anyone with any experience with these things that can comment?
Looks like another Ryan Dunn to me.
That route with all those cross streets lights would take forever (not to mention the crap-hole neighborhoods.) Your top speed would be no more than 35-40 the entire way and average far less with all the stop lights. I know. I grew up in LA and I worked in that Melrose area for years. Freeways are ten times faster than streets (especially in the middle of the night). He'd be going 75-80, or faster if he was scared about something, so it's a no-brainer to drive extra distance if you can do it on a freeway. If he was coming south on Highland then he probably started out very close to the 101. The most obvious thing to do for ANYONE in LA going to LAX would be to get on the 101. The 105 drops you right smack into the airport.
His other choice would be to take Santa Monica Blvd, but again, lots of intersections and lots of stop-lights the entire way.
At any rate. I really doubt that's where he was headed based on where he was and the direction he was going.
I believe so, but I'm not really sure. I've never had reason to be in that part of the airport. LAX is a lot bigger than most folks realize. Tons of cargo planes go in and out of there every day, as well.
To play devils advocate, maybe he thought if he stayed near populated, residential areas he might be safer, if a big slower to the destination.
