A teen who went missing in Los Angeles in April was discovered a month later in Northern California, having been kidnapped and used as a sex slave on a marijuana farm.
The Los Angeles Police Department decribed the 15-year-old girl as a runaway. They believe she was kidnapped by Ryan Balletto, 30, and his associate Patrick Pearmain, 25, and taken to their growing operation in Lake County, California.
According to a criminal complaint, when the girl wasn't being used to harvest marijuana she was locked for days at a time in a 4-foot by 2-foot metal toolbox.

Stories like this are why I require my fifteen year old daughter to carry a folding knife at all times. She’s not afraid to use it, either.

Odds are pretty good you could find several stories about the "large cache" of weapons found at the farm which barely mention the girl.

Regarding smoking or growing pot, authorities will always tell you that the breaking of one law always leads to the breaking of more laws.
Yet these same authorities tell us that even though people break the law by coming to America illegally, those same people are not inclined to break other laws. We are just supposed to ignore the evidence to the contrary. Authorities ignore the identity theft, drunk driving, rapes, murders, etc while citizens suffer. Maybe if we convince all the illegals to take up pot growing the government would do something about them.

You never hear of brewers or distilleries doing this kind of crap.
