Jewish human rights group, the Simon Wiesenthal Center, has taken the hammer to British rock musician and anti-Israel activist Roger Waters after a giant pig shaped balloon emblazoned with a Star of David was released into the sky at a July 18th concert in Belgium.
With this disgusting display Roger Waters has made it crystal clear. Forget Israel, never mind limited boycotts promoting Middle East Peace. Waters is an open hater of Jews, said Rabbi Abraham Cooper, Associate Dean of the center in an email to The Algemeiner.
The video is beyond shocking. The only books this bigot should be getting should be with the Mullahs in Iran and the Muslim Brotherhood, Cooper added.
I came to the concert because I really like his music, without any connection to his political stance toward Israel, Alon Onfus Asif, an Israeli living in Belgium told Israeli daily Yediot Ahronot. And I had a lot of fun, until I noticed the Star of David, on the inflatable pig. That was the only religious-national symbol which appeared among other symbols for fascism, dictatorships and oppression of people. Waters crossed the line and gave expression to an anti-Semitic message, beyond all his messages of anti-militancy.

If you really want your message to be taken seriously, perhaps the ass of a giant floating pig with glowing red demon eyes is not the appropriate medium.
Well I’m not trying to defend him. He was obviously the jerk of the group, and no doubt that led to the split, and since then he has become even more of a jerk at an exponential rate.
I would not go see one of his concerts, but I would definitely love to see Gilmour. However, he does sing well, he does scream well, and his voice was very suitable for certain songs, two of my favorites being Mother and Hey You.
I don’t really know what to see about the man. He seems pointlessly angry like many leftists. In fact he seems consumed by anger. Sad. I have enjoyed some of his work greatly despite that.
I do agree, it had that Lennon-McCartney dynamic, where Gilmour would provide the softer, sweeter vocals, and Waters could counter with the angrier, darker vocals.
But all you have to do is listen to Pigs(Three Different Ones) to see that Waters has always been consumed with bitter anger.
“He pissed on Rick Wright during The Wall sessions....For me, Floyd is Gilmour and Wright dueting on Echoes.”
Agreed. I never got into “The Wall” and “Dark Side of the Moon” as much as I did “Meddle” and “UmmaGumma.” I don’t like being preached to by a millionaire rock star. That’s why I gave up on Neil Young as well. I agree that it was Rick Wright’s keyboard work and Gilmour’s guitar licks that defined PF’s sound.
Yeah, clearly he’s got problems. Anger is such a heavy burden to carry in this world. It seems like as he gets older he shoulders more and more of it.
I can only imagine that he must be miserable to be around, and I suspect that he is miserable in his own skin.
I don’t know a lot of things compared to others, I can be pretty damn dense sometimes in fact, but one thing I have learned during my time on this rock is that love is the only thing that matters.
In the end, love is all you ever had, and it is the only thing that you can take with you when you go.
I certainly hope that Roger has some of this somewhere in his life.
That’s nice to hear. Personally I find the music to be insufferable past the Syd days.
Thanks for that Puppage.
I am not trying to be flippant, I really would like to know.
Guess it’s a good thing I’ve never heard of the guy.
Just another prick with no balls.
Well, it does, and it doesn’t. Those lyrics were originally meant to be a sarcastic portrayal of neo-fascists. He was lampooning people like that, not endorsing them. So, it’s ironic that, after many years, he has become the type of guy he was making fun of.
I Ike Floyd. When The band split and Gilmour had Floyd, they became a better band.
Careful with that axe, Eugene.
—He seems pointlessly angry like many leftists. In fact he seems consumed by anger. —
His daddy was killed by the Nazis in WW2 and somehow it’s the fault of the English upper class and the English private school system, or so I gathered from watching the Wall a zillion years ago.
This from the product of a socialist school teacher and the Cambridge milieu of academic loonies.
I can only imagine that he must be miserable to be around, and I suspect that he is miserable in his own skin.

Very well said. It deserves a repeat.
I think Roger has recently found a young squeeze.
Has excrement stopped stinking? - It ain’t going to happen.
Those that attend his exhibitions are his brothers.
Thank you kindly, FreedomOfExpression.
"...Waters crossed the line and gave expression to an anti-Semitic message, beyond all his messages of anti-militancy."All in all, Roger Waters is just a pro-jihadist bigot and asshole.
