Sen. Lindsey Graham told a "cheering" audience Tuesday that if the relationship between the U.S. and Iran doesn't improve by the end of summer, he will ask Congress to authorize going to war.
"If nothing changes in Iran, come September, October, I will present a resolution that will authorize the use of military force to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear bomb," the South Carolina Republican said, according to a post on CQ Roll Call, at a conference for members of Christians United for Israel today.
"The only way to convince Iran to halt their nuclear program is to make it clear that we will take it out," Graham added.
Taking a strong-arm approach to Iran right now seems like a pretty terrible idea. But Graham already knows that.
This bill, is an item for his 2014 resume. He can now say he tried to act tough on national security and foreign policy, and he would have gotten away with it, too, if it wasn't for those dang Democrats who stopped him.

I think “men” like Lindsey should raise funds in the private sector and use those funds for a private action against Iran. People are in no mood for another war and the debt and taxes that a war will produce.

Here is how I responded to Lindsey Graham's insulting remarks in 2007: Response To Senator Graham. The man was contemptible then. He remains contemptible now. He will not defend the heritage of his people. He is willing to get Americans killed in trying to police the opposite side of the world, where we are less the real party in interest than a host of other nations. He is obviously indifferent to the wise admonitions of the Founding Fathers, for he not only ignores those admonitions--from Washington & Jefferson, in particular;--but does not even show sufficient familiarity to the issues they raised, to even offer intellectually responsive reasons for his idiotic comments. If he is not merely a fawning dolt, that is the least we should have expected!
I hope that none of my Carolina friends will take offense; but their Senior U.S. Senator is a disgrace.
