Terrible story. I’ve been afraid of the ocean since I saw Jaws as a child.

However, this is not normal behavior for a shark. More than likely, the shark mistook her for a seal or a penguin.

Did the shark have a “Justice for Travon” T-shirt on?

Probably a jewish special forces trained shark.
Almost got eaten alive by a great white back in the early 70’s
Still see that mouth and size.
Prayers up for the family and friends.

horrible...

I’ve watched on Discovery Channel or wherever, they give scientists grants to prove the shark feeds and then goes far away, in an effort to stop people from hunting sharks after killings like this. That is how out of phase we are on the human/ animal relationship.

Yes, but Californica today made it illegal to sell or serve shark fins. Poor misunderstood sharks.

Terrible story. Ive been afraid of the ocean since I saw Jaws as a child. Me, too! It ruined my fun at the beach forever.
Entering the ocean on a volunteer basis is akin to being an athiest and accompanying Daniel into the Lion's Den.
Or bedding down for the night in a hungry bear's den.
Or walking into a rattlesnakes' nest barefooted.
Or playing badminton with a hornet's nest.
Or trying to extinguish a Killer Bee hive with a BB gun.
Yeah, pretty much ruined it!

Yes, but Californica today made it illegal to sell or serve shark fins. Poor misunderstood sharks. A couple months ago we attended a banquet at a Chinese restaurant. Everyone in the restaurant including non-banquet customers were eating shark-fin soup like it was the last time they would have it. The servers told us eat it while you can before the law takes hold, and that they've sold more this year than ever before. Unintended consequences of the law, as more sharks than ever were killed for this soup. Delicious, by the way.
