From Lee Stranahan, Breitbart News: A coalition put together by Dream Defenders took over Florida Gov. Rick Scott's office in Tallahassee on Tuesday to demand a special legislative session that they say will address "the issues at the center of the Trayvon Martin tragedy." The coalition contends that "stand your ground vigilantism, racial profiling and a war on youth that paints us as criminals and funnels us out of schools and funnels us out of schools and into prison" is part of the culture that lead to the tragedy. Governor Scott was out of the office and not expected to return today. Dream Defenders says it plans to occupy the office as long as needed. The group has engaged in sit-ins in the past that have lasted three days.

They’re being “funneled” into prison, because some of them are thugs. Don’t use illegal drugs, rob people, or otherwise break the laws, and you won’t go to prison. It’s really as simple as that.

OK, I understand leaving school, and I understand going into prison. Isn't there something that happens in between, something that is entirely the fault of the individual involved? Could that missing ingredient possibly be criminal activity?

...I don’t think they’re that brave, but I could be wrong...maybe some of them are willing to take a bullet for the advancement of the cause, but I think they’re expecting non deadly retaliation, which is the best of both worlds for them...
