Ummmm, a security person did it? Check their bank accounts for a sudden spike in funds. Maybe they did it for Trayvon.

This kind of thing is becoming a pattern, is it not?
Lord God, rest the soul of Thy servant and comfort his family. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, amen.

Greenwell was first elected District Judge of the 319th District Court in Nueces County in 2002, becoming the first Republican ever to win a county-wide judicial race in Nueces County. Greenwell was overwhelmingly re-elected to the Court in 2006, and was elected to his third term, without opposition, in 2010.
Judge Greenwell is a 1981 honors graduate of the University of Texas School of Law. Greenwell received his Bachelor of Arts degree, with a double major in journalism and political science, from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. in 1978. He served as a staff attorney on the 13th Court of Appeals beginning in 1981 and was chief of the Courts legal staff from 1991 to 1996. Greenwell was in private practice from 1997 until his election to the District Court bench in 2002.
Judge Greenwell served two years as the Presiding Administrative District Judge of Nueces County. In addition to presiding over the 319th District Court, Greenwell currently presides over Nueces Countys newly created Veterans Court.

He’s the first Republican Judge in forever or maybe never. Read the article, people are checked for weapons when they come in except for those who work there, such as attorneys and judges. Attorneys and judges can concealed carry. That is a big time Democrat county. I’d check attorney weapons for use.
I suppose it could be a suicide as there isn’t any kind of report about what happened.

Hidalgo County had a similar bad run of DA’s and prominent lawyers in recent years. Hope it isn’t just traveling north.

I can confirm from high level sources that Judge Thomas Greenwell committed suicide. I a was at the Nueces County Republican Club meeting tonight, and at the very end a high level official in the Nueces County Republican party announced that he had received text messages that Judge Greenwell committed suicide at the Nueces County Courthouse. This was less than an hour after this article was posted by the Corpus Christi Caller-Times at 7:03 pm CDT. He said that was the reason several courthouse employees had left the meeting early. I decided not to post anything about the cause of death until I saw something in the news media confirming that it was suicide. This was the lead story on Channel 10's newscast at 10 pm., and they said that the investigators said it was a suicide.
