Revealed: The Massive New Liberal Plan to Remake American Politics
Mother Jones ^ | Wed Jan. 9, 2013 | Andy Kroll

It was the kind of meeting that conspiratorial conservative bloggers dream about.

A month after President Barack Obama won reelection, top brass from three dozen of the most powerful groups in liberal politics met at the headquarters of the National Education Association (NEA), a few blocks north of the White House. Brought together by the Sierra Club, Greenpeace, Communication Workers of America (CWA), and the NAACP, the meeting was invite-only and off-the-record. Despite all the Democratic wins in November, a sense of outrage filled the room as labor officials, environmentalists, civil rights activists, immigration reformers, and a panoply of other progressive leaders discussed the challenges facing the left and what to do to beat back the deep-pocketed conservative movement.

"...shake my head in disgust at the Republican Party. We should be able to beat the snot out of the left..."

Tell it, brother. That these lib-snots are even sitting at the table, never mind rigging and running the whole frigging game, is merely proof of the dependably spineless, scared-of-their-own-shadow GOP weenies' inability to do what's right because it's right, and damn the torpedos.

They are so afraid of the Left calling them "mean-spirited" or "racist" that they pablumize and milquetoast everything they do and say. Gutless, useless cowards.

America deserves better. Let's clone Palin. Then we'd kick some Lib ass so hard that their drooling kids would go crosseyed.

"We should be able to beat the snot out of the left and all the Republicans can do is give us RINO's to vote for. "

Since the 2010 election I have been trying to interest conservative groups in developing an educational ad campaign aimed at 15 - 25 year olds with a goal of changing the liberal herd mentality they are sucked into during high school and college.

My plan would be to use radio TV and other venues where the millenials spend their recreational time and infuse them with subtle conservative messages. I've not found a "conservative" group or PAC that is interested at all. They are all satisfied with status quo and the market share of the government trough that they have.

What? The GOP wasn’t there adding their two cents? Extra ordinarily extraordinary.

No need, when their opinion is called for, they'll be told what it is.

Ping for later, but just let me say this for now, THANKS Mother Jones for removing any and all doubt that the NEA is anything other than a hard left organization.

Here is a bigger answer than you probably want. Best novel of the 20th Century, parts 1 and 2 now released as movies presently available on Netflix.

Summary of objectivism in this Wiki about her book. It is a very big deal, who is this John Galt.

So this group of liberals is going to try and kill the filibuster, kill lobbying, and kill voter ID laws.

Since corporations run this country they will get nowhere on the first two. On the third, who cares? Since the politicians do the bidding of the corporations, who cares who elects them? Who cares if they are elected by liberals or conservatives? They will all eventually bow down before the almighty campaign dollar and do the bidding of their corporate owners.

Pretty much every major corporation is on-board with affirmative action, the gay agenda, multiculturalism, etc.

Any conservative who believes he is supporting the free market system by going to bat for corporations is just being a useful idiot for crony capitalists who will give him a job if he has a skill which can't be replaced by a robot or illegal alien, but meanwhile undermine his moral and cultural beliefs through amoral corporate directives.

lol. I say we install Palin or Trey Gowdy as head of the RNC. Someone with fire in their belly and willing for a fight!

the ones we've gotten in the last 10 years are all part of the system and the last thing they want to do is make waves so they do absolutely nothing to move the party forward.

Fish rots from the head down they say, but the Party is also formed from the head down. Right now the Party is caught like a fly in amber because even though it has troops with fight in them, it has leaders without the will to fight, or even lead.

And without the will to fight, a trillion fighters isn't enough. :(

Corporations prefer moderate liberals. Complete leftists who live on communes or control their spending by growing their own food are no good for companies. Similarly conservatives who scrimp and save and try to only buy things they need.

But moderate liberals who are always buying new clothes and new iCrap to keep up with the latest fashions are perfect. Corporations need the average person to be a moderate liberal in order to keep getting 15% returns on their investments.

If you want to get funding you need to come up with a version of conservatism that encourages spending binges. Maybe hipster iBibles that are constantly updated with more maps and background information. Maybe Amish fashions that shift between gray and black every 3-4 months. Maybe convince every Christian from now on he has to lease new cars rather than buy used and drive into the ground because the Rapture could come any moment and you wouldn't want to waste money on a car you'll only be driving for a short time.

If they truly wanted to get money out of politics stop all the corporate and Ag subsidies and stop all the grants to NGO types - no grants to ACORNor NPR PBS PlannedPedocide and the like. Stop gov from doing favors to help a corp stop its rivals etcetc

If all that (and more) doesn't happen, our country is over.

This article makes it sound like conservatives are winning. If this is winning, I know I’m going to hate losing.
