FWIW - Pat Robertson
To: Perseverando
Everyone is comfortably numb and amused to death. Not in Egypt.

Pat Robertson is still considered a “top televangelist”?

For once he is right. Washington criminals we call Senators and most of the House need to be cleaned out and if necessary forcibly. As for our communists black Muslim I'll leave that up to you but treason would be a start.

We don’t have 95% of the population living within a couple hundred mile radius of the capitol and I don’t think anything good will come out of the Egyptian mess anyway.

To get a feel for my perspective on this: I am offended by american flags in church.
Want to know how to view our leadership? Read what Jesus and the apostles said on the subject.
Or, as one pastor once asked: Where would the early church have been if they had put their faith in rome. The US is simply the temporal government that lays claim to the territory I spend most of my time in while visiting this very temporal world.

It is always easier to talk the talk than to walk the walk.
The majority of Americans will accept slavery over freedom in spite of what they say.
Wait and see.

True. I think that if they had the amenities that sedate the West, it might be different. They have little to nothing. How about Alexandra Shore, Egyptian Idol. Maybe throw in an xbox or two.

It has been said that all that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.
I will add that if good men do nothing long enough, they cease to be good men.

Demonstrates the sad state of evangelism in the country today, doesn’t it?
Old Pat lost me when he said he considered himself married the first time he and his girlfriend had sex.

No Pat, they rammed it down our throat and then rubbed it in our face. No sneaking at all.
To: Perseverando
I do agree though the snuck nothing by. It was all in the open and in your face.
2-5 million in DC and tens of millions rallying against amnesty in other cities around the country on a certain day would send a strong message to the Repubs.

Coming from the same orifice which spewed that 9-11-01 was the fault of America’s support for abortion and homosexuality, not the Muzzie terrorists.
What’s that saying about a broken analog clock?

To evangelize means to share the good news and to invite a lost person to repent and believe in Jesus.
Another term might be a better description of Mr Robertson.

I am offended by american flags in church. There is a Christian flag, and there is a U. S. flag.
It's my take that neither flag reaches it's full potential in this nation, without the other.
Christianity is given freedom to fly here by our Constitution. It's observers should be safe and prosper here because of that.
The United States Founding Documents which serve us best, are best observed and enforced through the eyes of Judeo Christian ethics.
It's not a marriage made in heaven. It's a marriage made because of heaven.
As we veer away from the Judeo Christian path, the more this place will resemble hell.

True enough.
