Weeks after the fiery death of investigative journalist Michael Hastings , who was probing abuses by the CIA and NSA and had recently informed others that he was being investigated by federal authorities, suspicions about his mysterious car crash are still swirling around the Internet. While police officially ruled the death an accident, serious questions are still surfacing even in the establishment media and among prominent officials. Based on e-mails Hastings sent out shortly before he died about working on a big story and needing to go off the radar, it has become clear that he was worried, too.
Hastings, who wrote for Rolling Stone, BuzzFeed, Gawker, and other publications, was probably best known for his award-winning 2010 article The Runaway General. The piece helped bring down U.S. Gen. Stanley McChrystal, commander of American and NATO forces in Afghanistan. Despite his establishment credentials and what analysts called his Democrat-friendly reporting, Hastings had become extremely alarmed about the surveillance state and other troubling developments in recent months. His last published story: "Why Democrats Love To Spy On Americans."

Less than 24 hours before his death, Hastings made it crystal clear that he was concerned about his own well-being

Heavy-hitters from the government sector have expressed concerns, too. Former U.S. National Coordinator for Security, Infrastructure Protection, and Counter-terrorism Richard Clarke, for example ... that the deadly car crash was consistent with a car cyber-attack. Intelligence agencies for major powers including the U.S. government almost certainly know how to remotely seize control of a car

unfortunately this one is true
I want to know what tapes Andrew had. I want to know what Hastings was investigating.
I know personally an individual who did safety inspections on that building. She said it was a ticking bomb with the generator fuel located as it was.
The center fuel tank?
IIRC Hastings was investigating Petraeus and the sex scandal.
Republican sex scandals is Hillary’s MO for providing cover for what she is up to, in the case of Petraeus it would be Benghazi.
Lets not forget Marc Rich also died just recently.
If Im right there will be more.
David Brock for one.
Noted.
Michael Cormier, coroner, another victim of....?
massively poisoned with arsenic from unknown source and for unknown reason by unknown parties
yet all I can find about his case is that it is
described as “a real head scratcher”
d’OH!
Well before I read the two paragraphs that begin with that sentence I was thinking that cars rarely blow up in big fireballs even in severe crashes. That's just Hollyweird FX BS.
I see dead conservatives.
There were people murdered near Mena and their bodies were placed on a railroad track to make it look like they’d been hit by a train. The state coroner was a Clinton buddy.
The Bushes are some of the biggest frauds we’ve ever elected. And I regret voting for them.....once.
We have a winner!
I regret that President Reagan didn’t FIRE George HW Bush in 1984 when he had the chance.
Put Janet Reno and Elinor Clift on that list too.
Reno made a threat against Hillary, IIRC it was on the 5th anniversary of Waco in 1998. It had to do with the knowledge the Davidians had a suicide pact, which meant when Hillary ordered the final raid she knew the Davidians intended to set the building on fire.
Clift became a nervous wreck almost to the point of non- functional right after V Foster ended up buzzard bait, and she pretty much stayed that way as long as the Clinton’s were in the WH.
Bob Woodward is known to hang out on this site so that’s probable an accident waiting to happen too.
Hazel O’Learly, Clinton’s Energy Sec., put together the Oil for Food Program with Marc Rich, so there is another candidate for a dirt nap.
Be interesting to keep a running tab of Clintonite that end up dead.
“Thieves” looted the offices of Snowden’s lawyers, but took only computers, not silver bars and gold coins that were in plain view.
No, they were a ways apart.
Give it a rest and debate the subject of threads without such name-calling.
Aren’t you mixing two different govt. thuggery issues there West Texan? I don’t think Hastings being taken out was why this law firm was busted into.
Bump this post
Was it Snowdens lawyers????I knew it was a whistleblower but didnt it was him???
Yep.
