I have believed for some time that the left is intellectually bankrupt. I can’t think of a single new idea from the left of the political spectrum since the end of the Vietnam War.
The left has no idea what to do about our failing public schools. It has no solution to the problem of entitlement spending. It has no earthly idea what to do about all the problems in our health care system. There is no coherent proposal on the left to reform the tax system. I think it is no exaggeration to say that the left has no ideas. Period.
The left all over the world was wrong about everything. They were wrong about communism. They were wrong about socialism. They were wrong about progressivism. They were wrong about the welfare state.

Ideas are mere camouflage to leftist extremists. They have three goals:
1.) Attain power.
2.) Avenge themselves against normal people.
3.) Indulge themselves in mass murder.
When have you ever seen or heard of leftist extremists doing anything else? The measure of a leftist dictator is the number of people he slaughters; everything else is incidental.
No new ideas and a failure to reject any of them as folly. Still stuck on Communist utopian dreams. Still seeking to smash the patriarchy and smash monogamy.
Baby boomers still fighting to get back at their parents.
Their solution is to throw money at it
What about homosexual marriage? That certainly is a strange new idea that no one could have predicted 15 or 20 years ago. Of course, homosexuality isn’t new, being one of the signs of the decay of societies throughout history, but the concept of trying to baptize it as traditional marriage is new.
And yet we allow Political Correctness to influence every area of our lives. WE, even conservatives, allow it.

This kind of trash which has been acknowledged by common sense people for 50 years still manages to get published in a major magazine?! I’m beginning to disbelieve the axiom “better late than never.”
The Left is running on the fumes of the great Soviet heresy of the last century. It is morphing into pure statism and dictatorship, the Left’s only remaining support is Central Banking and the ability to print and throw money at social engineering schemes.
That can not last forever.
I don’t think the Rockefeller Republican Neocons are doing any better with their strategies after 40 years either.
Henry Kissinger wanted detente with Communism and George W Bush wanted detente with Islam “a religion of peace” as he called it.

They weren't overtly pushing transgenderism or gay marriage back then, although they were certainly headed that way.
The left has had no new revelations beyond that of a group of toddlers seeing one or two in the group has something better than they do and crying their selfish little ass off making excuses why the children that have should share or give up to them. Nothing more complex than that.
“New ideas” seem to be more detrimental to the nation than they are productive.
They have successfully established the “right of NOT being insulted”, have eliminated all sense of humor in political discourse, and have successfully criminalized political opposition. They also have fully implemented the Cloward-Piven Plan of creating overload and chaos in social services. The ideas may not be new, but the implementation at this level is certainly new.
Your observation reminded me of this, from the Second Secret of Fatima:

The whole "kill your parents" idea from the radical left of the second half of the 1960s is one of the most pernicious concepts of that whole lamentable era.
It was the product of the Marxists who took control of the social forces that were operating at that time.
