The first clear example came in 2009. When brave Iranians took on their thuggish masters, Obama was shamefully silent. His aim was to negotiate a deal with nuke-loving theocrats, and he treated millions of Iranian protesters as so many distractions to his plan. He got no deal and the opposition movement was crushed.
When Egyptians challenged Hosni Mubarak in 2011, Obama made the opposite mistake. Although Mubarak was an ally who had helped keep the peace for 30 years, Obama called for him to leave and sided with demonstrators, despite many warnings that the Muslim Brotherhood would gain the most.
He also picked a lousy time to favor neo-isolationism and a break-the-bank spending spree at home. The result is that our leadership role abroad is being replaced with Islamists, despots and opportunists, none of whom can or want to provide the infrastructure of stability.
We now have a president who, more often than not, rejects the very notion of American Exceptionalism. In effect, he has not joined the side hes on. Unless he embraces Americas unique role, and does it soon, his mistake will become the worlds tragedy.

It is truly an excellent article worth reading -- it describes the Obama presidency, including his foreign policy well -- I have not read anything even close this.
Obama made his ‘mistakes’ with full understanding - they were more like ‘choices’....
Do Americans embrace American exceptionalism, anymore?
I go in a store anymore, and everything is imported from China.
Just saying.
I agree — they were not “mistakes”, he was doing it deliberately.
I just found another excellent article — it’s time people are actually saying the obvious:
The End of Obama’s Brotherhood Crush
http://www.commentarymagazine.com/2013/07/03/the-end-of-obamas-brotherhood-crush-egypt-morsi/
“President Obama stood by passively for a year as Morsi and the Brotherhood began to seize total power, repress critics and pave the way for a complete transformation of Egypt into an Islamist state without threatening a cutoff of U.S. aid. Now Obama has finally found the guts to use Americas leverage over the country but only to register his protest against the downfall of the Brotherhood.”
Well quoted.
Impeachment File on Benghazi Coward B. Hussein Obama, formerly known as Barry Soetoro, a Legal Citizen of the Sovereign Nation of Indonesia.
As much as I love the NYP, and Michael G. seems to be a good guy, I lost a lot of something for both of these when Michael G. got in Carl Paladino’s face, the NYP running with it and Andrew the HUD becoming gouvenor.
spell checker was off for the holiday.
What failed side? American presidents never fail, just check their “Presidential Libraries” for historical evidence, if you don’t believe me.
President Obama is just an enigma. He’s certainly smart, but it’s completely overshadowed by his arrogance and distrust of his own countrymen. He;s never been forced to come to terms with is short-comings because, I believe, his skin color has provided him with an impervious teflon shield.
One of these days, he’ll be judged for his actual accomplishments, but that won’t won’t come for many years...long after the PC police have died out.
He's not smart, unless you're using "smart" to mean "political hack." He can't form a complete sentence without the teleprompter, his "ideas" consist of liberal BS talking points picked up when he was a kid, he has no idea whatever how economics works, he blurts out stupid statements unsupported by a second's thought (e.g., "the Cambridge police acted stupidly," and "if I had a son, he's look like Trayvon"), and he can't make a decision to save his life. I think he's a puppet and Soros and Valerie Jarrett are pulling his strings.
There’s one place we still excel: Hollywood makes the best America-bashing films in the world.
Just as sure as the sun coming up, our 535 plus nine plus one persons government, over the past 50 odd years, has obliterated businessmen in the U.S. via taxes, regulations and lawsuits. Our corporate rate is the highest in the world. The un-elected bureaucrats nationwide (state, federal, local) turn out thousands of new regs every day. The tax code is 72,000 pages and no one on earth can understand it while CPA’s charge up to $500.00 per hour claiming, fraudulently, that they do. McDonald’s gets sued because the coffee was too hot.
My god, let’s all roll on the floor laughing our ass off together! It’s no damn wonder this country is all F’d up and everything is built in China! Duuh!!
As Nicholson said in A Few Good Men, and I am very much paraphrasing, “we need a few good men up on that wall”. In this producers versus non producers fight we’re in, do the producers have any?
“. . . we still excel: Hollywood makes the best America-bashing films in the world”
We saw “White House Down”, Channing Tatum is a must-see around here.
All about how “right wing extremists” take over DC.
The kids are still shaking their heads, asking, “do former special ops guys and secret service agents really go bad, anti American, like that?”
Beyond that it’s completely silly with a divorced dad for the hero, with a one night stand ex-wife and Jamie Foxx playing the president but not really. He just plays his impression of Obama- reluctantly gun wielding but peace loving and adorable.
Trusty movie reviewer did not warn us properly.
We had to go find “Olympus Has Fallen” to cleanse our minds.
Same scenario but nicely done.
Almost as if someone saw it and produced a hollywood version.
Very strange coincidence having two such similar movies out at the same time.
And “White House Down” is so anti American, anti family. It’s sick.
In Obama's case it's called anti-colonialism. Only HE, the Messiah, can interfere!
I’m trying to be defferential. Anyone who has the ‘stuff’ to become POTUS has some sort of smarts. I agree that President Obama blurts out a lot of talking points and forms policy based on those ‘late-night-bull-sessions’ he had with his buddies back in college.
Democratic rhetoric always sounds so high-minded and sophisticated in theory, but it never works in practice (IE-Obamacare, national deficit, etc). The GOP has the opposite problem. Conservtive rhetoric and theory makes it sound like people don’t matter at all, but in practice it helps people the most.
Bottom Line: It’s much easier to convince people to believe in the ‘government’ than it is to convince people to believe in ‘themselves.’
——Obama is lost because the real world is too messy for his utopian dreams.-———
He can not implement the unending constituent dreams that conflict with themselves and reality. His reaction is to become a treacherous tyrant and abandon the law. That is a high crime. That spells death
