One of the curcuminthalidomide hybridsCancer researchers in the US and China have combined the turmeric spice pigment curcumin and the drug thalidomide to create hybrid compounds that can kill multiple myeloma cells.
Multiple myeloma is the second most common type of blood cancer, killing 20% of affected patients each year. The drug thalidomide, banned after causing birth defects when given during pregnancy in the 1950s, was recently rediscovered and approved for the treatment of multiple myeloma. Thalidomide works by disturbing the microenvironment of tumour cells in bone marrow. However, it disintegrates in the body. Curcumin, a yellow pigment from the common spice turmeric, is also active against cancers, including myeloma, but is limited by its poor water solubility.
Shijun Zhang at Virginia Commonwealth University, US, and colleagues, have synthesised compounds combining structural features from both thalidomide and curcumin. The hybrids have enhanced solubility, and higher toxicity against myeloma cells than curcumin, thalidomide, or a mixture of both, explains Zhang, so our design rational is going in the right direction. Zhang says the hybrids kill myeloma cells through combined mechanisms of action that include the generation of reactive oxygen species and cell cycle inhibition.
The advantage of the hybrid compounds is that they are stabilised, and do not degrade in the body as thalidomide does, says William Douglas Figg from the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, US, who has conducted numerous studies and clinical trials with thalidomide derivatives. However, from his experience, compounds considered for further trials should be more toxic to myeloma cells.
In the meantime, one of Zhangs hybrid compounds has shown activity against myeloma and prostate cancer in animal models.

Depending on the brand (I buy mine from my naturopath - it doesn’t smell or taste like coconut), I can either drink it straight or I put it in my coffee.
I just wanted to throw out some other supplements that have anti-cancer properties to them: Vitamin D, Selenium, ALA, Iodine & Magnesium. In addition to these, Green Tea Extract and Resveratrol Grape Seed & Red Wine Extracts.
Driving now but at noon PST I will b behind a computer and will give thoroughanswer and more, no prob.

Thank you for this information! I too take cayenne pepper [extract], but since I battle Graves Disease (hyperthyroid), I avoid coconut oil, but I’m going to find out if I need to avoid it completely.

OK the short answer is that I think u should take TWO, not one, and here is the more important thing:
Take those along with your fattiest meal of the day --for most folks that's dinner. Lessay you eat a bunch of lasagna? Yeah, take it with that.
Or lessay you eat a huge omlette with plenty of butter --take it then.
Whatever you eat that is super fatty --and I know you eat fats-- you take your curcumin (tumeric, but the active component) THEN.
While it's super cheap and super therapeutic it's bioavailability is pretty low --just cuz it gets past your lips does not at all mean that it is getting uptaken.
Also it does not circulate for a long time --all the expensive efforts to ligate curcumin to other bigger things have the objective of making it patentable ($$$) and maybe also get it to circulate for a longer time b4 being eliminated.
I really think the best --for years-- will be to consistently take pure curcumin with something fatty and peppery.
And you should try the frankensense/gum thing I described --it's cheap, simple, reliable, and highly thereapeutic.
I'm not super Biblical, but here is a quick aside;
1. gold - resists inflation
2. Myrrh - anti parasitic, anti-helmenthic
3. Frankensence - powerful anti-inflammatory (and many others)

Coconut oil is incredible for cooking. It would be lousy for high-temp frying, but that is usually not a problem, as people who gravitate toward it tend to not desire deep fried solutions. It is incredible for anything where you would typically use butter or another oil. Coconut oil is what they used to pop popcorn with at the theaters - back when it tasted reaalllllly good. I scramble eggs with it, use it to saute veg, the uses are endless. The medium chain triglycerides are incredibly under-rated and critical. One note, though, it is a peculiar oil in that it solidifies below 76 degrees, so it can be liquid during one use and solid the next time you grab it.
