Today, July 2nd, is DAY #17 (of 4th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.
Today Detective Chris Serino will be back on the stand. [Yesterday ended] on the stand with Chris Serino, who was the lead investigator for the Sanford Police Department on the Trayyvon Martin shooting.
Defense counsel Mark OMara led cross-examination with his usual consummate skill, obtaining responses from this witnessremember, the States witnessthat all but completely guts the States charge in this case.
Among the key revelations so far: Zimmerman was always completely cooperative, open, and straightforward with all the police investigators over many weeks of multiple interviews, both in person at the police station and phone. The sense given is that Zimmerman demonstrated endless patience. (continue reading summary)

Thanks for the ping Uncle Chip.
This is no different than the Duke Trial....Politically and racially motivated. In this case...and most disgustedly, Obama had a say as to what he expected to happen because of the death of his son.
One wonders if the prosecutor and other court and political officials will be as "completely cooperative, open, and straightforward" in their own trials for malicious prosecution, wasting the taxpayers money, and civil rights abuse.
Red Cracker standing by!
Good morning, U.C. Thx for the ping.
A case can be made that the purpose of the trial is to vindicate Zimmerman. It seems to be going that way

I smell a malicious prosecution case in GZ’s future.
The Star witness for the prosecution said she could hear wet grass. I am simply trying to get on their level. So I can understand the process,
Unbelievable....
I noticed Serino was having a problem when the ‘challenge interview’ was the topic, kind of of vacillating back and forth whether he did or not.
he is under a lot of pressure on him and it may not be from local ‘people’.
I think she could hear him being scared, too.
L lol

We will see if I am right and your resident attorney is wrong.
O’Mara , who KNOWS this tape is a problem, WILL continue to fix the issue.
He will NOT sit down with no further questions ...that’s what your resident attorney who has practiced many years said he would do if he was defense counsel.
The person, whom you know nothing about..will be right.
I think it is remarkably different. In that case, the original prosecutor decided on his own, without a big national gin-up in advance, to press ahead for his own benefit.
In this case, the governor and state attorney general "got involved," and appointed their hit man, Angela Corey.
This is a hit ordered by the highest executive powers in the state.
Nifong was chastised by higher powers in North Carolina. Corey, de la Rionda, Guy and Mantei are going to be supported by the governor, by Bondi, and by the judicial branch.
Is he still with the department??
I hope he speaks bluntly.
BTW in the challenge interview yesterday they kept referring to his observations of Martin and the NEN call. It turns out that it took him over a minute to get through. No wonder the state was hiding those calls.
And the state held these records long enough for Chad to finish his lying testimony.

The look on her face when West asked her to describe the sound of wet grass was priceless.
