Day 17 (Week #4) Zimmerman Trial – Witness Discussion Thread
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | July 2, 2013 | Sundance

Today, July 2nd, is DAY #17 (of 4th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.

Today Detective Chris Serino will be back on the stand. [Yesterday ended] on the stand with Chris Serino, who was the lead investigator for the Sanford Police Department on the Trayyvon Martin shooting.

Defense counsel Mark O’Mara led cross-examination with his usual consummate skill, obtaining responses from this witness–remember, the State’s witness–that all but completely guts the State’s charge in this case.

Among the key revelations so far: Zimmerman was always completely cooperative, open, and straightforward with all the police investigators over many weeks of multiple interviews, both in person at the police station and phone. The sense given is that Zimmerman demonstrated endless patience. (continue reading summary)

Not half as obnoxious as a group of posters ragging on a single poster for her opinion. If five people on a thread have an opinion and the sixth disagrees, where does Freerepublic’s T&C say the sixth poster has to shut up? This isn’t a caucus thread, for heaven’s sake....

Don’t worry, O’Mara is completely in command again.

GZ did not testify, of course. I believe he stated on the reenactment that he moved the arms because he thought TM had something in his had that he had been hitting him with.

Serino is wrong on that, definitely. GZ was out of breath due to trying to keep TM in sight.

MOM didn’t call him on that, did he.

I did see it.

That has not one thing to do with what I said. Freepers are not so stupid that they need to be treated like school kids by the queen bee... “let’s just ignore him/her”

If you want to ignore, ignore. And No, I don’t see where we “all” agreed to anything. Why does everyone have to AGREE to ignore someone? If you don’t want to respond then don’t. It’s very simple. I may choose the same or not.

I agree that the convo yesterday was ridiculous and reality suspended.... it can be annoying and if someone chooses to ignore I don’t blame them at all.

isn’t that the one where he is laying down on his stomach..which is what zimmerman said he did..but it seems that both arms were not extended.

Frankly, that’s my theory: the prosecutor finally charged Zim with murder to stop the pressure from fed doj and naacp. Murder’s literally impossible here; so Zim should get off and the local prosecutor “at least” tried.

There have been multiple pictures and testimony that his arms were tucked under him when he was initially found.

The prosecution wants manslaughter. They know they have no shot at 2nd degree murder. In Florida manslaughter is 15 years max if the person killed is 18 or older. 17 and under it is 30 years in prison! So if George Zimmerman is not found not guilty he is going away for many years. That’s why it is imperative that he is found not guilty.

Michael Savage, no thank you. No way.

He’s wack job even if he’s right about some things....still doesn’t make him any more sane.

Ok, what are the different stories he told and when did he say that? I have tried to keep up with the case, but I can not watch and catch every minute. I have missed a few things.

He said his comment was due to where GZ (and TM) ended up. But where they ended up was on the way back from where GZ had gone to keep TM in sight. So Serino has faulty logic.

O’Mara said last night on Greta VanSusteren (who is there right now) that he LOVES cross examination and that is his thing. He said he could do it all day and does not mind a bit that they work an 8 hr. day in the courtroom.

No wonder there were so many burglaries in the area with police like Serino who don’t find someone looking in windows in the rain to be suspicious.

Have you ever considered that a response is multiplied by the number of times it has to be repeated because of the NUMBER OF TIMES OF BEING BERATED OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN by POSTER AFTER POSTER AFTER POSTER.

No offense, but could you take this discussion to freepmail? I’m trying to follow this case.

thanks! :-)
