The prosecution wants manslaughter. They know they have no shot at 2nd degree murder. In Florida manslaughter is 15 years max if the person killed is 18 or older. 17 and under it is 30 years in prison! So if George Zimmerman is not found not guilty he is going away for many years. That’s why it is imperative that he is found not guilty.
I just can’t imagine anyone, let alone GZ, being sent up for even one year for this incident (self-defense in the action of trying to protect one’s own neighborhood from crime).
If that happens, we ALL need to be on guard henceforth... because this kind of injustice could happen to ANY of us.
