On Fox News Sunday, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) predicted that the House Republican resistance to bringing up the Senates immigration reform would be overcome. I believe that by the end of this year, said Schumer, the House will pass the Senate bill. That would be a shocking development, given the fact that Boehner has already said that the Senate bill will not see the light of day in the House.
Schumer said that the Republicans would force Speaker of the House John Boehner to take up the bill to prevent the party from becoming demographically obsolete. The national Republican leadership will tell John Boehner, if you dont pass a bill, were going to be a minority party for a decade, Schumer stated. He also added that Democrats would not sign off on any approach to immigration reform that was not comprehensive.
Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) made no such prediction. Its not going to be easy, he stated, but I really hesitate to tell Speaker Boehner how he should do this.

FUCS!
That Jeff Flake looks like a weirdo.
Looks evil, actually.
You got to be pretty DUmb to take Chucky’s advice.
House Speaker Boehner, surrounded by House Republicans calls a press conference and says "The House of Representatives will not consider ANY Bills sent by the Democrat-controlled Senate UNLESS AND UNTIL their elected officials and their subordinates STOP PLEADING THE 5TH OR STONEWALLING INVESTIGATIONS INTO THE IRS TARGETING OF CONSERVATIVES, THE DOJ SPYING ON FOX NEWS, OR ACCOUNTABILITY FOR WHAT REALLY HAPPENED LEADING UP TO, DURING, AND AFTER THE 9/11 ATTACK IN BENGHAZI. The House cannot, in all good conscience forward the agenda of a party whose constituents are possibly guilty of serious criminal acts pertaining to these scandals. If the Democrats are SERIOUS about immigration reform then it's time for them to get SERIOUS about 'accountability in government'. NINE MONTHS have passed since Benghazi and America is STILL waiting for answers. The ball is in your court, Democrats. It's time to get serious about accountability for these scandals."
You're telling me Schmucky wants GOP majority?
I shoulda used my /sarc tag.
Today on Fox, Trey Gowdy said, “Mr. Schumer almost brought him to tears with all his concern for the Republicans.” (Paraphrased)
Yeah he is LoL.
Did you catch Edward Snowden lurking in the background and thinking "and they want to put ME in the slammer???"
Leni
The House putting out ANY immigration bill is political suicide.
Amnesty is a poison pill that will kill the GOP, dead. Not in 20 years. In 2014.
It’s. Just. That. Simple.
Memo to Republicans: A significant portion of your base will refuse to continue to stand with you after this betrayal. At the point you so blatantly sell out our nation, our principles, and our founding ideas, you become worse than the opposition party.
You are turning the answer to “Where else are conservatives going to go?” into something far different than the rhetorical question you intended.
If the House passes any sort of immigration bill, it’ll be conferenced into amnesty. That will be the Fort Sumpter ring out that sounds the end of the GOP. Make no mistake, the GOP cannot survive amnesty - and not because of demographics.
Isn’t that so sweet that Scummer is worried about the future of the Republican party.
Schmuckie looks like a large Devil hovering just behind Juan’s shoulder.
I am always amazed how UPCHUCK SCHHUUUUUMMMMMMER tries to help the Republican Party be successful and defeat Democraps!
Schumer, while claiming that supporting the dumb Senate bill will enable the GOP to survive and thrive, is actually trying to lure his biggest enemy into a suicide trap!
Oh, how sly he thinks he is!
Why just a decade, why not forever?
I tell people all the time I am a RINO...because what I believe and what the Republican Party seems to believe, based on the actions of it’s leaders, are miles apart. I remain registered as a Republican, but that’s it. In Name Only.
Let’s abandon this useless vehicle and build us a new one that can drive the change we need. Where is the New Conservative Party? Let’s roll!
Here’s my suggestion of the Dream Team to design it: Sarah Palin, Trey Gowdy, Scott Walker, and Dick Cheney will bring political experience and true conservative thinking. The Heritage Institute, Hillsdale College, Newt Gingrich, and Jim DeMint to bring a knowledge of history and founding principles, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Michelle Malkin, and Mark Levin will figure out how to communicate it, and the Koch Brothers, Foster Freiss, Sherman Adelson, and Roger Ailes can figure out how to pay for it.
Limbaugh, Hannity, Ailes, and others have profited handsomely by the conservative movement, now it’s time to pay it back.
Gather these 16 people into a certain Palm Beach estate for as long as it takes. Hire some Marks to fill in, send food, iced tea and cigars - but no booze until they get the job done. I figure it should take about 2 days and then we could kiss the GOP goodbye forever.
Even Hannity asked Ryan the other day if he was worried about amnesty creating a civil war within the party. This isn’t just some sentiment on FR.
They know.
They know.
That’s the worst part.
Like a Zuckerberg commercial telling you what it means to be a conservative, they think we’re all low information voters that can be dealt with between now and 2014 (or we’ll forget by then). Or worse, even if the threat of revolt is real to them, the threat of top donations drying up scares them more (just like the recent BSA board decision).
The bottom line here is that the GOP-e is trying to thread the needle between their donors and their rank and file supporters (not the same people). They are under enormous pressure from their donors to get this done. Unless they fear the loss of their supporters more than their donors (and that’s an uphill climb), this will pass.
In warfare it helps to demonize your enemies. Sadly, many within the GOP-e already do that with their own base. When push comes to shove, between their donors and their base, they already have the mindset that the base can shove it.
Let’s see is Charles Schumer a leftist democrat senator?
Great idea to trust his advice.
Hey Schumck...stick it up ur a**!
