Need help; Need Some Points in Immigration/Amnesty Bill to Convince My Friend
6-27-13 | Self

Posted on 06/27/2013 5:16:58 AM PDT by CincyRichieRich

All, I need help. My friend thinks since the bill is "bi-partisan", then it must be good for the country. I can handle the bi-partisan part, but what I need help on is:

* Where is a source that lists what the bill does to hurt US citizens, immigrants trying to be lawful and become citizens * Show where it actually steals money from taxpayers in the form of our taxes going up and redistributes * Show that it actually gives more rights to "new immigrants" than current citizens in terms of easier to hire and harder to prosecute for crimes

I looked on aclj.org, and their stuff doesn't cover this...any clue? As I write my points above I am astonished how there are some like McCain, Gramnesty, Rubio who will sell out our country to advance their kingdoms. Unbelievable. Help.

“My friend thinks since the bill is “bi-partisan”, then it must be good for the country.”

I ran into this on Sunday. The other side is convinced that these immigrants will be out there picking our tomatoes for us and that nobody else wants to pick them. But, once they’re legal they can more easily get on the welfare train and they won’t be picking fruit or working farms. Also, the changing demographic to non-white, not-educated, not-English-speaking means disaster. Nobody but the Democrats will win out of this one and America is the loser. How will adding anywhere from 11-50 million new citizens who don’t speak English and hold us in distain help the country? The answer is that our politicians are traitors. As for your friend, find another one. If he doesn’t see this he never will and he’s not worth your time.

Not to mention it means AMERICAN jobs will go to the new visa holders, and with real unemployment at or near 17% we do not need more immigrants either legal or illegal invaders. Especially since most of those visas are going to ME type countries.....

“How long can I break a law and be rewarded for it ?”

Interestingly, I know a Hispanic who spent 15 years getting his green card. He’s very annoyed about amnesty. I guess it’s like line-jumpers. But the clerk says, no, that’s okay, he can jump in front. It’s all right.

Ask what he (and you) will be paying out for products and services as a result of this.

Ask how DC pols are impacted.

Drug dealers are flooding across the border, killing ranchers, border patrol agents and others. Not only that but Al-Qaeda affiliates have been caught coming across as well. The border simply must be sealed.

The Immigration bill says that current sealing efforts can stop if the Homeland Security Secretary says so (and she does). What a joke to the spouses and family of those who have died.

Also, it is another bill, as Nancy Pelosi has so famously said that “we have to pass it to see what is in it”. But already this massive monstrosity already has enough pork in it to clog America’s arteries.

We need serious immigration reform, especially for the current process of anchor babies and that of not deporting criminal aliens. Neither are addressed seriously in this bill. Bank on it.

We need to honor current legal immigrants already going thru the citizenship process and not bump the illegal ones ahead of them.

Oppose this bill with all you’ve got.

ask your friend a simple question: How many illegals WANT to become US citizens?...and do they expect to give up their other countries allegiance?

Slow path to progress for U.S. immigrants: 43% on welfare after 20 years

The study, which covers all immigrants, legal and illegal, and their U.S.-born children younger than 18, found that immigrants tend to make economic progress by most measures the longer they live in the U.S. but lag well behind native-born Americans on factors such as poverty, health insurance coverage and homeownership.

The study, based on 2010 and 2011 census data, found that 43 percent of immigrants who have been in the U.S. at least 20 years were using welfare benefits, a rate that is nearly twice as high as native-born Americans and nearly 50 percent higher than recent immigrants.

so more amnesty from republicans helps our country how again?

Your friend is hopeless if he thinks that anything that the Democrats and GOPe come up with is good for the country. When have they ever done anything that was good for the counry.

“... 55,322 criminal aliens were arrested a total of at least 459,614 times, averaging over eight arrests per alien. The Department of Justice expressed its surprise at the ‘extremely high’ rate of re-arrests for criminal aliens when it found that that 73 criminal aliens in a study group were arrested a total of 429 times.”

...quoting a Government Accounting Office (GAO) study.

Reflect on those numbers for just a minute.

This GAO study is only counting the number of arrests! And that should bring two questions immediately to mind:

How many actual crimes did these 55,322 criminal aliens actually commit?

How is it even conceivable that each of these illegal aliens could be arrested on average a total of almost nine times?

To at least partially answer the second question, you only need to look at so-called “sanctuary cities.”

Sanctuary cities are localities across the United States where liberal mayors and local legislators have instituted policies that prohibit law enforcement from cooperating with federal immigration agents and prohibit them from even questioning the immigration status of anyone they arrest.

But to add more insult to injury, many American cities even allow illegal aliens to obtain free health care, food stamps and a whole assortment of government goodies without having their immigration status questioned.

If your friend takes the time to read this traitorous bill and finds nothing wrong with it, he or she is a lost cause.

Here is just one item about WHEN the fence will be built:

(b) SOUTHERN BORDER FENCING STRATEGY.—
2 (1) ESTABLISHMENT.—Not later than 180 days
3 AFTER the date of the enactment of this Act, the Sec4
retary shall establish a strategy, to be known as the
5 ‘‘Southern Border Fencing Strategy’’, to identify
6 where fencing, including double-layer fencing, infra7
structure, and technology should be deployed along
8 the Southern border.

1. We did this before with Reagan, it didn't work, it made the problem worse. Far worse.
2. The social security trust fund was spent on a bi-partisan basis, both parties agreed to spend it, did that make it right that we have nothing saved up for this program that was paid in to for a generation? We now have no money to fund it, it's broke.
3. We HAVE immigration laws. Every country has immigration laws. We are one of the few that does not enforce them. Mexico does. If we tried to enforce our laws like Mexico did, very few would get in.
4. Immigration (LEGAL immigration) has served us well as a country for a long time, we took from multiple cultures and formed what was called the melting pot.
5. What the new immigrants are doing is insisting we speak their language (press 2), insisting they don't need to really take on US cultural norms, and are staying balkanized. It's a bad recipe. Has failed everywhere it's been tried.
6. Allowing in multiple millions of fairly poor, fairly uneducated people FROM ONE CULTURE ONLY who have access to our modern welfare state will bankfupt us.
7. Allowing the chain (bringing family once the law is passed) migration that will surely follow will make us unrecognizable as a country considering all the points above.

8. What would be better would be to secure the border once and for all, make it so they could not get jobs or welfare benefits, and force them to have to deal with immigration like anyone else around the world who wants to come here, and certainly LOTS of people want to come to the US still. Everyone else around the world HAS to get in line, fill out forms, be checked out for criminal background, etc. and WAIT for years to come in. Why should we make it easier just to walk through our Southern Border, and suddenly you get rewarded for breaking the law.

PS - This is NOT racist in the slightest, that's going to be your "friend's" main argument. Don't' let him/her get away with it. I wouldn't want up towards 20 million Swedes, Italians, Poles, Russians, Chinese, or Canadians coming in either.

What you seek is 'less than intelligent!'

You need to eliminate those who need this information (that you seek) from your 'circle of friends' sooner than later.
