WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP) — The National Cathedral is pealing its church bells, along with some other Washington churches, to celebrate the Supreme Court’s decisions on gay marriage.
Cathedral spokesman Richard Weinberg said the bells rang at noon Wednesday for 45 minutes to an hour. Bells also rang at other Episcopal, Methodist, Presbyterian, Unitarian and other Christian churches

I literally had to go to the altar today and repent for my country. This morning made me the most frustrated and saddened I’ve been in a long time. I really do fear for this country.
When will God pull the plug? How long can his hand of favor cover us?
Then again, we probably are getting just what we deserve, with the leaders we deserve.
My young toddler son is in for a lot of strife in his lifetime. The very idea of marriage has been ripped apart and the effectiveness of our faith in the public square has been nullified.
In other words, Obama has turned America into a mission field. Amazing that his promise of “change” has come true in the worst of ways.

I’m sad about this most evil day in the history of America. The triumvirate of SCOTUS cases (Engel vs. Vitale, Roe v. Wade, and today’s decisions) have destroyed the moral base of America. We, as God-fearing Christians will now face persecution. Our pastors will be arrested and we will have to go underground like the Cappadocian Christians. Our consolation is that in this eternal showdown between God and humanism, I believe the sovereign Creator of the universe will prevail. Each and every Supreme Court justice who voted for this abominable decision will have to face judgement and eternal fire if they do not recant. The die is cast, brothers and sisters. We need to unite in the communion of the saints and look forward to the glorious coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He will establish a theocracy and righteous law will proceed from His mouth. It is time to put all divisions between orthodox Catholics and conservative protestants behind and jointly praise God for His absolute goodness, grace, and love. Thank you God for the past 200 years of blessings!

Don’t be surprised to see the day when those same churches will be forced to ring their bells for every pride parade passing by. Things are headed that way.

I got saved later in life, (48 years old). I was saved by reading the bible. I had to decide on a denomination to choose a church. I found Charles Stanley on radio then video and decided that his teaching was biblical. I checked and found out he was a Southern Baptist. So I decided to find a bible believing Baptist church. So I guess I'm a Baptist also. BUT, what I really am is a Christian. A sinner saved by grace. “Born again” Christian! (Is there any other kind?)
