Text of decision here.
Any hint of retirements?
The US Constitution is irrelevant.
Our enemies laugh at us and salivate over their futures and conquests to come.
Yep... no surprise at all!
More pathetic judicial activism ...
The initiative process kicked to the curb...
How could the state possibly enforce such a requirement? What proof would be required to satisfy the requirement?
We have to take away their tools:
income tax, social security, medicaid/care, PPACA (Obamas commiecare), govt schools/curriculum
It takes two to tango...and being blackmailed is no excuse for doing the wrong thing. An unwillingness to stand up for what is right shows weakness and a lack of courage... clearly not as reliable as thought.
Is there no one left with the courage of their convictions? Even under the threat of personal sacrifice.
We get what we deserve when we sit back and elect the spineless to positions of power over our general welfare.
I am coming out of the closet.
I am a heterosexual male.
There...I feel better. I realize, however, I am persecuted and I no longer have any rights.
Mom's past on. Daddy's worth a $billion. Guess what comes next....
=============================================================
And when Daddy passes on, sister (or brother) could then marry another sibling...our cousin, and so on. All they have to do is say they love each other and want to marry.
What's to stop that from becoming a reality now?
The federal government has a vast bureaucracy devoted to challenging fake heterosexual marriages in the context of immigration. Nothing at all keeping the IRS, SSA or VA from challenging fake gay marriages in the context of estate tax, survivor benefits, etc.
That's right. If people of the same sex have a "right" to marry, then so too do multiple people.
1 man, multiple women.
1 woman, multiple men.
groups of people
Cousins
Mothers and sons.
Fathers and daughters.
If the argument is, that gay's can not have their right to marry be denied by the state, then the state can not deny the rights of those people involved in any of those other situations either (so long as the individual is an adult).
Clearly, this is a dangerous slippery slope.
When the same-sex couples appealed the CA Supreme Court’s decision that upheld Prop 8 to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, the State of California was still defending Prop 8.
Then the State refused to defend it further. So the voters who brought the Prop 8 initiative to the ballot appealed to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Under California law, they were legally entitled to defend Prop 8 in court when the State refused to defend Prop 8.
Essentially, the SCOTUS decision says that the case was properly heard before the U.S. District Court of N. CA. (Judge Walker) because the State was defending Prop 8 at that time. The case was not properly heard before the 9th Circuit because the voters who brought the initiative cannot have no legal standing to defend Prop 8 in the federal court system. They can only do so in CA under CA law.
So Judge Walker’s decision stands and the 9th is overturned.
Every geezer in the US whose getting $1200 in SSI every month will get to pass that on past their death in perpetuity. Either that or the IRS or some other agency now gets to decide whats a “real” marriage. Oh, and if amnesty gets past the House, every illigal alien here gets to bring their “gay hombre” from back home.
So obviously State's rights are valid concerning marriage, only unless they are in favor of homos/lesbians being given the "Right" to marry. With today's SCOTUS decision, every single one of the 32 states who have state constitutional amendments on their books, will be challenged in Federal & State courts. And because of today's SCOTUS ruling against California Prop 8, every single one of those 32 states marriage amendments will be ruled as unconsitutional & therefore null & void. After all, how can any of these 32 states deny homos/lesbians the "Right" to marry the one they love.
Homo/lesbian marriage just became the law of the land, make no mistake about it. Next on the Nazi homo/lestian agenda, will be to bring lawsuits against any churches/parishes/synagogues that deny them the "Right" to marry. And following that will be to declare marriage is open & available for whoever (or how many) you desire to marry. Pedophiles, polygamists, bestiality, all have the "Right" marry any one or any object of their degenerate "love".
That's RAAAACISSSST! /s
Of course this now explains why the left want to let in 11 million illegals. They have to replenish the stock of Democrat voters.
The left has a pretty tight grip on the education system. They can make more liberals.
Yup. Then top it all off with ObamaCare and the likely election of President Hillary in 2016. We're doomed.
Then what is your point?
Health care is not a federal issue though it involves Benefits and or taxes so it was ruled okay.
There is no logic to agree with in this ruling. IT is all about promoting and imposing the acceptance of homosexual sex normalcy by the state.
