Obama declares a War on Coal
FoxNews.com ^ | 6/24/2013 | Phil Kerpen

So much for the denials. An administration that throughout its 2012 election campaign denied it was waging a War on Coal has now come out and publicly declared its intention to shut down coal-fired power plants – putting hundreds of thousands of Americans out of work and sending electricity prices skyrocketing.

This is not what the American people voted for.

Responding to a White House petition to end the War on Coal, the administration said: “The President has made clear that he understands that coal has played a critical role in our country’s energy portfolio for decades and will continue to be an important source of energy in the future.”

Sycophantic liberal media outlets (like The Nation and the Associated Press) went further, repeatedly claiming that the War on Coal was a myth. The Obama campaign even ran a TV ad in Ohio claiming that Mitt Romney would be bad for coal – and trotted out former Democratic Gov. Ted Strickland to deny there was a war on coal and echo the attacks on Romney.

Will America survive?

NO!

A civil war is coming and the left is doing everything it can to provoke a start. The left wants badly and wants it soon, thinking they can then build their utopia. It will be horrible beyond imagination.

But they don't realize they will lose.

Sure ... But you started out talking about those who depend on coal production. They're not the problem. The problem is amongst those dependent on coal consumption.

The producers can sell their coal to China who is a big consumer. The U.S. coal fired plants and their customers are dependent on coal to provide electricity in the short term and at a reasonable price. They have no real alternative, so they are the most dependent on coal production.

Obama's war is on the coal fired power plants not directly on the coal miners. Though I imagine he will get to the miners soon enough.

Coal Use:
http://www.wvcoal.com/coal-facts-2012.html

“US coal use falling fast; utilities switch to gas

Share of US power from coal at lowest level on record as use of cleaner natural gas grows”
Associated Press
By Jonathan Fahey, AP Energy Writer | Associated Press – Tue, Jun 12, 2012
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/us-coal-falling-fast-utilities-173126367.html

“The uptick, virtually all of it attributable to rapid economic expansion in China and India, comes even as the U.S. continues to experience decreases in coal use for electricity generation amid the availability of cheap and plentiful natural gas — which has a smaller carbon footprint than coal when burned.

Without even including India and China, however, the drop in U.S. coal consumption is easily negated by a commensurate uptick in coal use elsewhere in the world. And adding in those two countries, whose voracious appetite for cheap electricity has altered the global coal market over the last decade, presents what the IEA’s executive director, Maria van der Hoeven, called “a troubling paradox.”

“To the degree that affordable coal has allowed hundreds of millions of people in emerging economies to enjoy the conveniences that the industrialized world began taking for granted long ago, its proliferation is a blessing,” van der Hoeven wrote in commentary accompanying the release of the report. “Yet for a society increasingly concerned about the amount of carbon it is sending into the atmosphere, the surge in coal burning is not good news.”

A couple days before the 2008 election, the airwaves of Western PA were inundated with adverts about Obama going after coal and they (unionista's) didn't listen here.
I wonder if they are waking up YET?

Don't forget they voted for Dubya in 2000 and I think 2004. Back in 2000 the most troublesome issue the voters related to was Gore and his anti-gun agenda.

As my divorce lawyer in West Virginia said at that time "You start messing with a West By God Virginian's gun, you lose his (and her) vote."

True. I haven’t forgotten that he promised to bankrupt them so this news doesn’t surprise me in the least.

Such actions have long-term effects exacerbated by the time and cost of reconstituting power sources.

I’ve come to the conclusion that way more than half the people in this country don’t like obama. But the obama loving press doesn’t report it. It only puts out government approved information. Just like under any dictatorship.

This also proves, to me, that voter fraud is a lot worse than anyone could imagine. And if they can illegally elect an illegal president, they can put whomever they want in the congress.

Why does the GOP not stand up to him? Because, to me, it proves they’re being blackmailed.

Might as well accept it.

It was just announced the Army is getting rid of a bunch of brigades through 2017. That’s 80,000 soldiers without jobs and who knows how many who support those brigades.

Well, Obama has unilaterally declared the Jihadi War over. Of course, the Jihadis are still at war with us.

But then our president is a traitor.

Hey, is that the IRS knocking at the door?

Good question! NO, he wouldn’t DARE! But his aim is to cut America down to size and make us small, poor and impotent. Unfortunately, there are a LOT of stupid voters out there, not to mention the idiots who vote twice, the cemetery vote, etc...we are screwed at this point.....

The more American Coal plants shut down, the cheaper coal is and the more Chinese coal plants open.

Once again, a decision by Obama favors Communists.

This is the results of his January 7 2012 Decrees thru the EPA:

He wants us to be what he understands.... a backwards shit hole nation, without technology, without education, without a economy.

By cutting America down, he is removing peace stability and prosperity from the globe. Desperate people without order do stupid things. This is what world wars are made of.

He promised a revolution.

It will come at a HUGE cost, globally. And his religion? Islam will make it very bloody.
