"a choice between betraying the citizens of the world or betraying the powerful elites of a certain country"Ouch.
Snowden should write a well-researched novel..."fiction" isn't an act of treason yet, is it?

Uhhh, Comrade Hussein.....Mr. Snowden is not in our country; just like your IRS doesn't target Conservatives or your NSA, CIA, FBI, et al do not completely surveil your citizens without cause.

Patino sure has the Washingtonians number
Sounds like a polite way to tell the lawless police state in DC to go scratch themselves

The only leadership tool Obomba has at his disposal is the race card. Putin, however, doesn’t accept that card.

Who is paying for his hotel and meals? I mean, when he flies into Cuba before Ecuador, is he a guest of the Cuban government and they pay for everything?

Well this is certainly Change.
I can’t even get angry. Obama bought this on himself. Show weakness to ruthless countries and they won’t respect you.

Heh. What goes around comes around.
The U.S. refused Russia’s request to extradite George Soros for criminal currency manipulation. In 2000, Soros nearly destroyed the Russian economy by selling the Rouble short and deflating its value from $0.166 to $0.033, almost overnight.
An investigation led to to the 2005 raid by Russian police on Soros offices in Moscow. Unfortunately, the pig Soros wasn’t there. They asked the U.S. to extradite Soros. The U.S. told them to pound sand, since we don’t have an extradition treaty with Russia.

The Chicago mob is no match for the Russian bear. Maybe Rahm Emmanuel can head over to Moscow and dance the Nutcracker Suite in his tutu.

The decision whether to grant Snowden the asylum he has requested is a choice between "betraying the citizens of the world or betraying certain powerful elites in a specific country," Foreign Minister Ricardo Patino told reporters while visiting Vietnam. While George Bush was President, much of the world may not have liked the United States, but at least they respected the United States. Now they do neither.
US voters wanted change. They got change. Putin will be playing with the big-eared doofus like a kitten with a ball of string for the next 3 1/2 years.

"In Ecuador's most extensive statement about the case, the foreign minister hailed Snowden on Monday as "a man attempting to bring light and transparency to facts that affect everyone's fundamental liberties." Not surprising that a place like Ecuador has to school the likes of the Obama administration. But it's the world we live in.
