Should Scott Walker have pulled the nomination of a UW student Regent after learning that the student had signed a recall petition against Walker?
I voted no- Our side shouldn’t take political action for revenge.
If he deserved it then he deserved it.
The poll is actually half way down on the Right.
And YES is winning currently
Likewise.
Fine, I disagree but so be it.
I voted no for the same reason that you did.
We hit the poll a couple of days ago and the “yes” vote surged way ahead after initially losing...then it appeared that some were using our tactics against us and that really p***ed me off. This must not stand! :{)
The linked page is not working.
That is a good sign...try again if you’ve the time. Thanks.
I wonder why Scott Walker really pulled his name?
Policial revenge is what Comie-crats do. And crying racism and bigotry when they get caught trying to get away with something. Standard stuff.
This liberal rag paper said it was because he voted against Walker. I seriously doubt Walker did
No doubt there is certainly more to the story.
Even a liberal would make up some stupid lie excuse and not flat out say its because of revenge.
PS - I voted YES
Roughly 280 Yes to 220 No.
Freeped, but not with Opera Web Browser.
This poll has been up a couple of days. I guess they’ll leave it up until it gets the result it wants.
7:00 PM It’s now about 320 Yes to 220 No.
Poll to FReep: should Scott Walker have pulled his nominee for UW student regent?
Actions have consequences. This little liar signed the recall petition which cost the taxpayers hundres of thousands of dallars. Then he “forgot”. Then he didn’t even vote. He’s too dumb to be a regent of the University system. Vote Yes.
There were a few reasons from what I understand. First of all, this was a major fail by Walker's staff. It turns out that this young man signed the recall petition against Walker which means that he lied on his application saying the he agreed with the Governor's positions. He later claimed that he only signed it to support his mother who is/was a school teacher. It was also discovered that he only voted once in his entire life, which means, even at his young age, he skipped several elections.
Like I said, Walker's staff really screwed up this time but I think the decision to withdraw his name was justified.
We need to start playing the Dems game. Now this lying POS can’t use this position as a stepping stone to a bigger job in the future.
Wisconsin ping here! Thanks!
I voted No. If you can’t handle a difference of opinion from a college kid, then you have no political courage or strength of character or core convictions and I’m tired of those people running our party.
Governor Walker won. The idiot lost.
