You dont need to be buddies with someone to establish an effective relationship, said Mr. Burns, who now teaches at Harvard. Not everyone can be Roosevelt and Churchill forming a personal bond to end the Second World War.
Even with friends, however, there is tension. President François Hollande of France was initially thrilled with Mr. Obama because he saw him as an ally against Ms. Merkel on economic issues.

Obama is arrogant & personally weak concomitantly. He has used race/AA to ‘accomplish’ everything he’s done, apart from his ‘memoir’ [which is Ayers’ creation—& even that was at Michelle’s behest, not Obama’s]. He’s a manipulative backstabber who cheated his own political mentor/benefactor out of her spot in the Dem primaries. He looks & acts like a sissy when he gets around tough men or has to ride a bike or pitch a baseball.
At the same time, he can’t help but behave arrogantly, as when he expresses disdain for ordinary Americans, passes judgment on the Cambridge police, and acts w contempt toward the US Constitution. [Not to mention his election marking the moment the tides began to recede & the planet began to heal.] Given the number of ‘I’s & ‘me’s he includes in every speech, it’s clear he thinks everyone else finds him as fascinating as he finds himself, & that is pure, distilled, 80 proof arrogance.
Add it all up & you have an immanently dislikeable person.
NO! It was the Berlin sun I tells ya!
And more important, so does everyone else in that room. And every action they undertake going forward will be reflective of that knowledge.
I guess that ‘Reset’ button doesn’t work that well .
I think many detect dear leader's "gayness" and are turned OFF by it.
This photo is so revealing it’s not even funny. The arm crossing shows he’s not comfortable being around anyone at this table, which proves his minimal engagement and lack of relationship with any of these leaders prior to this meeting. And I believe someone else said this too, it shows he’s on the defensive.
How many times have any of these leaders come to visit him over the past 5 years? At least with Bush, there were meetings all the time with leaders.
He should have given the world leaders a really neat gift of all the Abbott and Costello movies on region 1 dvd.
Let’s not forget him bowing before the saudi king.
