A new film claims the official government report on the crash of TWA Flight 800 in 1996 is an elaborate fabrication, but the most shocking part of the story is that charges are being leveled by some of the very investigators who put the report together. Six experts who appear in the film were members of the National Transportation Safety Board investigation team that concluded the crash was an accident, but they now claim they were silenced by their superiors. The movies, "TWA Flight 800" will debut on EPIX TV next month, on the 17-year anniversary of the crash.

An aeronautical engineer once told me that an essential quality of all aviation fuels is that in the fuel tanks, the air-fuel mixture above the fuels must not be ignitable. Fortunately, for all fuels used in transportation, the mixture is not ignitable.
Air-fuel mixtures are not ignitable if the air-to-fuel-vapor mixture is either too high or too low.
I’m thinking that the air-fuel vapor mixture above jet fuel in a tank is not ignitable. If that’s the case then the NTSB explanation for the flight 800 explosion might not be correct.

This goes to show how the entire Federal government and the Corporate Media can come together and cover-up the deaths of Americans and totally get away with it using an "official story" that doesn't stand the least bit scrutiny.

If the center fuel tank on this 747 spontaneously exploded, then why don’t fuel tanks on tens of millions of autos that have an open fuel pump sitting in gasoline also explode on hot summer days?
TWA 800 was destroyed by an external cause, and the rush to ignore and suppress evidence to that effect is entirely consistent with the Clinton Administration’s pattern of forcing major events in an approved political and ideological framework that could be molded at least to not damage their Agenda, and hopefully to advance it.
That was the case when the first attempt to destroy the World Trade Center was treated as a domestic crime instead of the act of war that it was. The same might be said for the OKC BOMB.
If it was shot down by terrorists how come nobody claimed the action? This would have been the first and only time a commercial jet was shot out of the sky and the organization that was responsible suffers lockjaw for 17 years?

My neighbor, a ret’d NYPD Loo was an FAA investigator in 96. He told me over a few Jacks that it was clealry a malfunction. But my friend’s brother was actually flying his single Beechcraft out of Gabreski that night and saw the contrails jutting up toward the 747. He followed them till impact. In his opinion there was no doubt. He had not seen contrails spiraling downward fom the blast as investigators told him. he’d seen something climbing up and impacting the 747. 17 years later he still knows what he saw. How to explain my neighbor? His opinion was based on seeing the reconstructed plane out in at the then Grumman facility in Calverton. Which pieces went into that reconstruction were from 800 and which were replacement parts only a few know. I often remark on these threads that that evening about 8ish Bernie Shaw was reporting on the matter on CNN and he brought up Wolf Blitzer who was then WH correspondent, reporting from the WH. Blitzer said Clinton would speak to the nation at 10PM. Why would POTUS speak about an air accident? The POTUS speech never happened. The Olympics were to begin in 3 weeks in Atlanta and Clinton was running for reelection. No one in the administration wanted to defend allowing a US airliner to be destroyed 14,000 feet over the Hamptons by terrorist or terrorists unknown. Hence the coverup and the willing continuation of that coverup by successive administrations.One hand washes the other.

Not only that but when the Air Force tried to test that theory the ONLY way they could get an explosion is when they added propane to the tank.
A year or two after the crash, at a women’s conference, I had lunch with the mother of one of the victims. After we had discussed the topic for a few minutes, I asked her what her conclusions were concerning the cause, and she flatly stated that it was a Navy test gone terribly wrong. From all that she and her family had seen and heard as people directly associated with the tragedy, they felt that it was a no-brainer and that the government should have just admitted it. I found it very interesting.
