Now that they have admitted it, we want names and prison sentences.

So all those Big Government pimps were lying that Snowden absolutely COULDN’T listen to everyone’s phone calls. Imagine that. And they want us to trust the “safe guards” built into the system, as the IRS breaks the law with impunity after judge shopping till they find one they can blackmail. This is a disgusting mess.

"Snowden has many in Washington squealing."

The private phone calls, texts, and E-Mails of all Senators, members of the House of Representatives and all the staffers might have been recorded and put in "storage" for later retrieval. Shady economic deals made by phone, calls by married congressmen to girl friends or mistresses, and any number of calls meant to be "private" can be used against politicians by whoever controls the data now.

It begins to dawn on politicians in both parties that the monster they helped create has his boot on ALL of their necks. Oh yes, some of them are squealing really loudly now.

The government has confirmed that it can selectively listen in on calls. EVERY rah rah government pimp should start losing sleep over this.

Remember when we thought the 900 FBI files Hillary had in the residence was big news.

That isn’t even a drop in the bucket compared to what is going on now.

Billy and Hillary can take comfort now knowing that ALL of THEIR calls have also been recorded.

So after Snowden came out and the media had some time to digest his disclsoures, certain syncophants came out publicly to say that he was lying because no agent would have the capability to listen in on anyone’s conversation. They were just collating “metadata”.

Yep - and many on FR are so caught up in the meme that "national Security" trumps all so he is guilty of treason - some of those same folks are oh-so-quick to quote Ben Franklin when he he said “Those who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one.”

I guess that's why our side has so much trouble pulling together to oust an Obama because the perfect conservative is not available - conflicts with one's sensibilities can make even a so-called Constitutional Conservative decide that absolutism in Constitutional principles can be waived if some of it offends their personal sensibilities. They end up being no more morally grounded than the Left - only the Left can do what they cannot and will not do; band together to win individual battles and relentlessly pursue even baby steps to halt or slow down the ever-quickening pace of those that would destroy this Nation. They end up protecting and defending those that would undo them. Irony at its finest.

Steak dinner? OK. Last meal. Find him, blindfold him and shoot him for divulging secrets about China. While many might have assumed that was going on he had classified knowledge and documents. Do it now before he releases those documents.

Yep I remember it quite well, and everyone was played for the fool into believing those files were important and a threat to repubs.

The actual number of files was over 15,000 and it was a threat to dems. not repubs. One of the files was my file.

As a matter of fact Janet Reno fired all the US attorneys to cover up what was in the 15,000 FBI files but nobody paid attention to it because everyone was too busy paying attention to the Clintons killing 80 people at Waco.

Vince Foster even tried to tell everyone, and you saw what happened to him.

As it stands right now I haven’t seen anything to convince me this Snowden guy is anything other than an Obama & Hillary operative and everyone is being played the fool.

<.....”The government has confirmed that it can selectively listen in on calls”.....>

As if we didn't know this for decades? Not exactly earth shaking news to the informed...it was admitted years ago...as well as reported.

Am thinking the press and those pushing this as a great awakening want Americans to turn on their government....it's happening all over the Middle_EAst...would they not also attempt to do so here as well?

Weaken the government and you've got a vulnerable nation.....weaken their security apparatus and you can take the nation.

No reason to be upset or protest or have a media circus or anything. The president has a ‘D’ after his name.

To me, the significance is not that we knew or suspected that this has been going on for years. It is that the Government now officially CONFIRMS it!
