In a Spanish-language interview Sunday with the network Univision, Sen. Marco Rubio, the leading Republican on the Gang of Eight comprehensive immigration reform group, made his strongest statement yet that legalization of the nations estimated 11 million illegal immigrants must happen before any new border security or internal enforcement measures are in place, and will in no way be conditional on any security requirements.
Lets be clear, Rubio said. Nobody is talking about preventing the legalization...

How does this happen in a RepublicBecause the American people are too uniformed to select good Republican nominees who mean business. They split their votes among four or five "conservatives" (many of whom are not conservative) and allow the one "moderate" to walk right in. They will never learn.

Illegals and other moochers have more representation in Washington than taxpaying citizens.
Most of the time the Senate acts as if they were the UN General Assmbly instead of the duly elected representatives of American citizens.

Is the GOP that scared that if voting no on this bill, that they will lose any chance of taking the Senate and lose the House in 2014? One would think if they passed this bill the base would never support the GOP again and any gains from Hispanics would miniscule.

Let’s be clear, Snarko, you’re never going to get away with this leftist hatched scheme and recall efforts should begin now!
You are such a disappointment.

Lets be clear, you have no chance of getting the GOP nominsation. Why? After all it worked for Romney to run as a limp wrist give away all that is conservative candidate!
It's taking way too long for the GOP to learn that they can't win by giving the finger to their conservative base.
Rubio's kind of rhetoric will probably make him a "shoe in" for the GOP nominee.

Lets be clear, Rubio said. Nobody is talking about preventing the legalization. The legalization is going to happen. That means the following will happen: First comes the legalization. Then come the measures to secure the border. And then comes the process of permanent residence. All of the so-called "enforcement" provisions on any amnesty bill are cynical frauds anyway. But maybe Rubio's flip-flops will make pro-amnesty purists vote NO and ultimately scuttle the whole damned thing.

Our government has a constitutional duty to protect our borders. The MAIN goal of government is to protect our own people.
Since when does that take a back seat to appeasing illegal immigrants?

Lets be clear, you have no chance of getting the GOP nominsation. Lets be clear, yes he does. It sucks but that is the reality. Who was the last guy that had no chance what so ever? Oh now I remember, he ran for president last year against Obama.

I want the 1986 Amnesty Bill Enforced First before any additional amnesty, Name one GOP congressperson that has proclaimed that. Scum the whole lot of them.
Rubio has two different messages, just like any good Muslim, or RINO.
