"New York Republican Rep. Peter King, chairman of the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Counterintelligence and Terrorism and a member of the Select Committee on Intelligence, said: "If Edward Snowden did in fact leak the NSA data as he claims, the United States government must prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law and begin extradition proceedings at the earliest date. The United States must make it clear that no country should be granting this individual asylum. This is a matter of extraordinary consequence to American intelligence."

The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government lest it come to dominate our lives and interests.
Patrick Henry

Merits repeating with an AMEN!
We the People are the rightful masters of both Congress and the Courtsnot to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution.

#1062x
See what other babies got b.c.’s 10620 thru 10629.
Butterdezillion has done an awesome analysis and found who got what # in the “musical chairs” of number shuffling. Yes, there were more than one number reassigned...
“If he is former military he took oath to constitution that didnt just stop being in effect when he started working for the contractor. SOME military guys take that oath to the constitution seriously and for a lifetime.”
Doesn’t that mean if he finds government acting AGAINST the constitution, against its citizens, he has an obligation to uncover that?
Personally, I don't think it's much of a stretch to come to the conclusion that King and Feinstein knew and approved of these programs. Obama did say that "Congress was informed" at least 13 times.
So if King and Feinswine have their way, they want to extradite Snowden to the U.S., put him up on trial for treason and execute him or something? IMO, that would simply be the rat bastards in Congress covering their trail!
Maybe tar and feathers for politicians should come back into vogue, IMHO.
I've been screaming at the top of my lungs for years that the revolution is long overdue, and it's high time all 537 of the rat bastards were tarred, feathered, and hung by their necks on the steps of the Capitol. Often I'm told to "cool it" when I say that ... I wonder who's going to tell me to cool it now?
And for the record:
Archive that, PRISM.
This sounds precisely like what he’s done.
He wasn’t doing this to embarass a politician, he was afraid of ‘turn key tyrrany’.
The utter contempt for us by our elites is breathtaking. We’re no better than rats in cages to them.
Mr. King screw you/
Yep!
The Guardian, The Daily Mail...
I just want to read TRUTH, coupled with opinion from “both” sides. I HATE the local newspaper - the only good parts are the sports section (for my husband) and the crossword puzzle (for me). The only place I can read real news is on FR by following the links.
I hate to tell you but encryption doesn’t even slow them down these days.
If you bought that, see if you can get your money back.
When was the last time you heard a fed official kvetch about civilian use of encryption. At least 10 years to my recollection. It’s the dog that didn’t bark.
Exactly!
The guy was stationed in Hawaii. If you dont think the administration is scrambling right now to figure out all the government secrets this guy was privy to, you have not been paying attention.
Hawaii. Interesting

INDEED!
“If Edward Snowden did in fact leak the NSA data as he claims...”
Why the doubt?
Just check his Verizon records, as they do with everyone else these days.

WAIPAHU, Hawaii (AP) A Hawaii real estate agent says Edward Snowden and his girlfriend moved out of their home in a quiet neighborhood near Honolulu on May 1, leaving nothing behind.
seems like a sentiment that should go back to the top...
Per Snowden's interview, which is very believable on the face of it, there are no controls on many analysts who are free to delve into recorded data on the lives of anyone they feel like for whatever reason, including personal vendetta or whatever. I personally find this to be very believable. And anyone who thinks this alleged minimally supervised power wasn't being used in a nefarious way by the Chicago thugs in this regime on a daily basis is deluding themselves. All enabled by either delusional, monster-protecting dupes, or criminals (you pick), like King.
I called my congressmans office last Thursday (yes, I used my Verizon cellphone). As I enumerated my concerns regarding the Won, the aide interjected, stating that there is NOT just one SSN (Harrison Bounel) associated with the Won, but SEVEN!
Good points!
I wonder who’s going to tell me to cool it now?
