Peter King, chairman of the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Counterintelligence and Terrorism and a member of the Select Committee on Intelligence, said: "If Edward Snowden did in fact leak the NSA data as he claims, the United States government must prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law and begin extradition proceedings at the earliest date. The United States must make it clear that no country should be granting this individual asylum. This is a matter of extraordinary consequence to American intelligence."

People in those positions swear a LIFETIME oath not to disclose their employment with the agency and also whatever they did for them in the course of that employment.

Agree.

I don’t care what China’s doing, or what McCain is spewing.

IRS (at Obama’s direction) is targeting patriots; Christians; Jews; TEA.

That’s all I need to know to conclude we must shut down this domestic NSA spying, or at least remove it from Omoslem’s hands and make it very transparent in terms of judges/warrants, details of which to be released “after some time” to preserve secrecy of urgent National Security operations while they’re in progress.

If a judge/politician knows his actions will become public “after 5 years,” he’ll be less likely to break/abuse the law.

Clearly, he bought the ‘If you SEEEE something, SAAAY something’ LOL.

He saw plenty and now he’s saying stuff about that.

Think of all the other stuff this government has done that should have been stopped. Tuskeegee experiments come to mind. It’s not like they’ve been angelic.

Yes he took a lifetime oath not to reveal his employer and his job duties; that’s a separate thing, and he should have some consequence for that.

The Guardian, while still liberal, has moved closer to the center. Both it and the Daily Mail would like to be the new CNN for Internet news. They have a ever increasing presence and staff in the USA.

I think now they are both closer to the center now than CNN is, which has moved way out to the left.

That is part of the "birth certificate" the White House released about two years ago. It was scanned and most of the characters in the document were put on a separate layer as 1-bit black&white images, while the final 1 was not recognized and left was part of the background. Here is the post I made showing all the layers of the PDF file back when it was released.

I have no idea why they scanned it and created a multilayer PDF file instead of a single high resolution image.
