[history]
There is no question that the big winners from last week were George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, two men vilified for years by the left, the media, and Barack Obama as eager to use the War on Terror as an excuse to violate the Constitutional rights of everyday Americans. Obama ran for president as the anti-Bush in many respects, but especially on the issue of surveillance and snooping.

The data facility has been in the works for years. Prior to the Obama admin. The Bush admin laid down the blueprint for the surveillance state for Obama to use. That is the game plan. Implement it while your ‘team’ is in charge, so when they switch sides it will be too late.

If one goes to GoogleMaps, it shows an icon where the Data Center is supposed to be in the middle of an empty field.
It's not there! It doesn't exist!!! LOL

It is said that some recent technical advance has made it so that the total storage capacity inside this ONE SITE is more than the memory of rest of all of the outside world COMBINED.
Said by whom? What technical advance? The NSA buys hard drives by the truckload.

If one goes to GoogleMaps, it shows an icon where the Data Center is supposed to be in the middle of an empty field. Bing has more recent imagery, at least for the straight-down "satellite" view. But the structures vanish when you select the oblique, "Bird's eye" view.

Remember the movie Colosssus: The Forbin Project? Excellent movie memory there. I not only enjoyed the movie, but read the 3-book trilogy. The books were excellent except for some of the sado-masochistic content.

The police state started decades ago. Thanks to computers, it is a different ball game now. Much easier to spy on people today. FDR till now - we have had a long history of government overreach and tyranny. The Presidents might smile and have pretty First Ladies, but they are still trampling on our liberties. All of the them from my lifetime. War on Drugs, Civil Rights, War on Porn, WOT, Cold War, Hot Wars, IRS, EPA, DEA - Every President since I was born have helped bring this about. Every one.

That is the new site where the complete FreeRepublic backup will be housed.
Isn't it comforting to know nothing we do here will ever be lost?

Those are cooling towers to the cool the water that flows through the water-cooled condensers inside the building.
Most likely for A/C condensers from the environmental control systems but could be for other systems that require cooling water.

Utah has a small population and it can now have tens if thousands of liberals moving in thus taking over a district and soon the state
