The National Security Agency has at times mistakenly intercepted the private email messages and phone calls of Americans who had no link to terrorism, requiring Justice Department officials to report the errors to a secret national security court and destroy the data, according to two former U.S. intelligence officials.
At least some of the phone calls and emails were pulled from among the hundreds of millions stored by telecommunications companies as part of an NSA surveillance program. James Clapper, the director of national intelligence, Thursday night publicly acknowledged what he called a sensitive intelligence collection program after its existence was disclosed by the Guardian newspaper.

I agree.
There’s stuff wrong with my Experian file. Unsurpringly even after I sent document after document detailing the wrongness of their records the mistake is STILL THERE.
I stopped trying. It’s in my favor and raises my credit score 75 or 80 points.
They search first, and let others ask questions later...In court...
They always find new and interesting ways to peel back the envelope of the 4th Amendment all the time...
Just remember these words, I have them on good advice from an attorney friend of mine who said that if you are pulled ofver for any traffic infraction (at which time you HAVE basically brokent the law) but it doesn’t give then ANY probably cause to ebtere your vehicle for ANY reason...
They can look into the windows for things in plainview, can’t get away from that...Thats why I keep my vehicles clear of clutter, and if I have anything inside, I cover it with a jacket of blanket, oir put it in the trunk...
You need to respond to any request to search your vehicle with these exact words...
“I do not concent to a search of my vehicle, am I free to go?”
It puts the ball back in their court, at no time should you utter the words “yes” or “no” in that response...Train yoursaelf to not dsay those two words...Remember everything is being recorded and can be used against you in a court of law, and can be taken out of context if it doesn’tfit the states case...If you say in response to the question, “Yes, I do mind; or “No” I do not...” they can stopthe recording in court and say those two words alone (by themselves) were consent...Think about it...
Now of course, if you do make that stand, be prepared for the ride...You can be detained (arrested) until a warrant is served at which time you will have to comply...But there are other means to resist at that time as well, but I do not have the time right now, seek another lawyers advice...In that state you live in...
For the most part Law Enforcement does not bust peoples chops to this extreme...But when confronted with the psedo logic that says, “Well, Mr. FReeper, you don’t have anything to hide, do you?”
Your response should be again, what was said before, and if you feel up to it...
“I have nothing to hide, but I have everything to protect!”
IF that doesn’t throw a bucket of cold water on the situation, then you may be in for a ride...But you havve made your stand...And be aware, those Law Enforcement agencies that do have a tendency to bust peoples chops in their jurisdictions, they know ALL these plays on words...Just don’t slip up...The burn is on them to prove their case...
Just my two centavos to the whole 4th Amendment stuff...
Shred shred shred your docs
At the DOJ
Stealthily stealthily stealthily stealthily
Holder’s gotta stay.
Who says it was a mistake?
Mistakenly????
B*&% $#!T
We need a giant pamper to carry this load.
The government is full of it, not only that, but they know we know they are full of it.
They are pretty much saying “watcha gonna do about it.”
They can flaunt it all they want but some day every knee will bow and every tongue confess......
This reminds me of the Left Behind novels.
liars liars liars!!!!! no wonder they wanted everyone to have free phones....
Wow, I only knew about the shady adoptions since almost immediately after his HusseinCare ruling.
Roberts has always been compromised, and we have to figure the other “justices” have always known from which side of the plate he swings.
Every person in congress has a Verizon Blackberry. They are slowly coming to the truth that they have been spyed on by the admin.
This should not end well for some.
That’s also why there is no opposition in congress. And, most of the people in this country are all for ANYTHING to keep us safe. Snowden said his biggest fear is nothing will change.
He also said the goverment will warn us of a major threat that’s coming and the next step is tyranny.
Now that it’s out and not many are protesting, they now know they can get away with anything.
There are no "mistakes" with programs written by NSA and put into production.
It's WAY too expensive - costing a mountain of money for data storage alone, not to mention creating log records, backup / recovery, data cleansing, etc.
Back in my DBA days(1), adding a single character to an index on a column would cost $80K (in '89 dollars). Expanding an index by 1 character would fill up 2 "diskpacks" of storage, while massively slowing down query processing for non-indexed retrievals.

If the US government has the capability of capturing all our records - EVERYTHING - on an ongoing system, then all this information can be summarized and used individually for whatever purpose they deem necessary. They can electronically confiscate your money.
All you spoke of has been possible for many years now.
If you have an Energy Star Appliance...they can hone in on the element and hear everything you say.
Didn’t it make you nervous the first time you had updates downloading on your computer and you had no control over it?...but somewhere out there they could “manage” your computer while they did this?
We can get so caught up in this stuff that ‘O” moves right ahead with his agendas while we scuttle about trying to figure out how to escape the Internet.
He’s on a roll again...signing us up with the International Push for Gun-Control...slipping it right by....he knows how to play us....
Sorry, but that is as bald-faced a lie as "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky."
